And its a go.

This is, obviously not the, supposedly, already in the works open world rpg. Another Killzone... or new IP?

Isn't GG one of the studios that took some layoffs? Guess it's not surprising they're having to recruit some new talent. It might be another Killzone since I think that game sold pretty decent, although you might be able to attribute that more to it be a launch game.

that is a very impressive 3d render of a cat wearing spectacles. i would also have accepted a 3d render of an old time automobile.

you're hired. you start tomorrow. you will enjoy working in the field of video games. the pay's not great, but the work is hard.

9 artist jobs, 1 designer job (and even that's for online). Hey GG, there's a reason Shadow Fall sucked and it wasn't because it didn't look pretty.

maybe they'll make an interesting game

Better prepare my CV/Cover Letter. They might need a chemist because of reasons.

it's a launch game, most of the time launch games suck cause their primary purpose is to just showcase the hardware..

It'll be a new IP, the artists and designers are one of the first ports of call in the start of developing a game.

PLZ a new IP! no more FPS's!

It is only fitting that they hire more people to fill the void. So many people must have quit after the embarrassment known as Shadow Fall.

Microsoft should shut Rare down.

Don't call it a comeback! Rare will thrive again.

In related news: Sony is shutting itself down.

Indeed, ever since Rare got in the hands of MS, the legendary dev has been reduced to making crap for the casual gimmick aka kinect.

But hey, everything game related that MS touches becomes sh*t.

They messed up even the basic stuff that they did right in previous games though, that's what I don't understand. They replaced shooting sections with weird shitty platforming and free falls that were absolutely awful. Time definitely played a factor though you're right, you could tell it had been rushed.

Apparently this is a new IP anyway so that should be interesting considering they've not made anything but Killzone for 10 years.

Keep clinging to the rumor that was already debunked. Playstation is more prone to be sold if anything. You support a dying company that reported a Billion Dollar loss. Stay in denial my friend.

I disagree. The more open levels was a step in the right direction instead of just corridor shooting. The traversal felt a little clunky and the objectives weren't well marked sometimes so a lot of the planning and approach play it could have had never happened. It was a decent first attempt though.

They need to borrow some people from ND or something though. They know next to nothing about good story telling, character development and how to present that though i'm hoping not having to work around a fairly stagnant franchise might help that.

I hope the next one is more like the very final level, that was awesome and the one level i'd play again.

And yeh, they've been rumoured to have a new IP in the works for a while and i've seen a few say that like most of Sony's big devs they're up to two teams now.

And the PlayStation division being sold has been debunked. Stop being a hypocrite.
