You sound mad. Xbox has always had a contrast differential in comparison to PS. This is even the case between 360 and PS3. I dont know how MS pulls it off, but its fantastic. PS4 shots look like Xbox One version after you put on a motorcycle helmet. Besides that and some leaves, they are the same : )
Yeah you're the one who thought that comparison image was the last gen version vs next gen. Yeah that turned out false. It's XB1 vs PS4.
GTA has ugly ground texture and Rockstar did a good job covering those areas with grass in the PS4 version.
Yeah, they covered it with more dynamic foliage with collision detection and physics that is. And think of all the extra polygons it takes for those GPU's to draw those grass strands. It's a no brainer that the PS4 with it's 50% more shaders, 100% more ROPS and pixel fillrate would handle the game at 1080p better than Xbox One. Why should Rockstar not take advantage of the extra power? Would 900p and the extra foliage have been the better option for Xbone? I think so actually. Because it really does make the whole asthetic of the game better with the dense vegitation.
Open in it's own tab, it's NOT the last gen version. For a start its a 1080p image, and the HUD is different on the PS4/XB1 versions compared to the last gen version.
I picked the game up last night. The PS4 version has more grass here but the game is not a world of vegetation. Id be interested to see a grassless area on the PS4 version to compare ground texture. Theres plenty of those areas 20 yds away from where Franklin is standing.

Hate to jump into graphic wars, but the Xbox One yet again over saturates stuff and it looks like atmospheric effects (fog) has been reduced on the Xbox One version. From the DF preview the Xbox One version also has worse off LoDing and foliage in a lot of areas.
Truthfully there isn't a huge difference. Unless you put them side by side and closely examined the two, you wouldn't ever feel like you're getting a worse game if you played the Xbox One version.
The biggest difference will be when the PC version hits and does 60fps and higher than 1080p resolutions. Even then the assets aren't going to change. LoDing will be best on the PC as will be shadow render distance, shadow render resolution, overall processing passes and whatnot, but overall the game won't look *that* much better on a PC since the assets aren't going to be higher resolution.

wow that's a massive difference. ps4 version looks cheap and washed out, as usual. another superior multiplat for the Xbox One.
The images that are "Darker" "sharper" are actually the PS4 version, as from the original DF video, the images have been flipped. originally PS4 was on the right X1 on the left, dear Karateeechop, i see you have got rid of your "second place" signature.

Lmfao.. Laughing out loud right now at the Xbox One picture, I actually really thought the picture on the left (XB1) was a troll job/360 image at first, and that it was a pretty clever laughable thing to do but it actually is not the last gen version, that is the Xbox One version really on the left
