called work for a reason~ WORK[QUOTE="k2theswiss"][QUOTE="BPoole96"]
On the subject of NSFW, do you think his boss would be okay walking by his desk and seeing a bunch of bare digital asses shaking on his monitor?
BPoole96
The subject of nudity came up because a user above was concerned about viewing the trailer at his job. Obviously people who work at computers don't spend 100% of their time working, but if a boss or manager walks by, they'd rather see you reading a news article than watching some raunchy game trailer with asses shaking in a strip joint
lol ok point givenOh fyyyyyuuuuck is dat some Grove Street I see?
It's on now Mother fvcker, all they have to do is not have this suck like Gta4.
1st trailer is like a midlife crisis vice city, 2nd is a return to the hood and 3rd is balding Johnny Knoxville.
I'm ok with this.
So... 3 trailers, and they're all cutscenes?
metroidfood
All GTA trailers are always highly stylised with different camera angles. All the talking and sh!t are cutscens but the shooting and car chasing etc. is all gameplay, just set up to look like cutscenes
Grove Street is confirmed. https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/465340_305320339598982_1679615661_o.jpgOh fyyyyyuuuuck is dat some Grove Street I see?

Exactly what i thought wen i was watching. This is incredible, absolutely amazing. I f*cking love the fact that they're taking the theme, the atmosphere from Vice City and San Andreas, and mashing them up together. I don't care about the bald guy, but hell, he's a good bonus.
Michael makes this whole game for me, might just have to be one of my favorite characters I've seen in a long time.

I just hope they ditched the Idea of having some ass hole call every 10 minutes to go bowling.
GTA 4 had so much wrong with it, if they can just bring it back to what made the series awesome and fun in the first place.

And thats the only gameplay GTA5 will have driving from cutscene to cutscene.
Cutscenes YAY :roll:MBirdy88
Already proven above a great deal of it was gameplay. Just using clever camera angles.
Cutscenes YAY :roll:MBirdy88What did you expect?, Have R* ever released gameplay footage of GTA games?
I'm worried they will mess up the car handling. I liked the way the cars felt in GTA4, I'm hoping it makes a return. clyde46I hope they're a little more forgiving. They don't have to go full saints row where you can make a 90 degree turn going 100mph but the cars in GTA4 were annoying to drive. I like what they were trying to do but I hope the controls are more friendly.

I love how they control on PC. Feels very natural.
Michael is from a life of crime. He was in the Liberty City mob, made a bunch of money off it, and retired in Los Santos to have a family. He misses the crime life though. Trevor was also his former partner/friend.Trevor looks funny, almost like a parody. Michael looks interesting, since he isn't from a life of crime. Frank is stereotypical and boring.

I don't know, there's just way too much hype for a game that's only shown 1 second glimpses of gameplay. And none of it has been particularly new or interesting. It doesn't really show off anything to demonstrate they've addressed the problems in their last game.

Try rewatching the Franklin trailer, they show off gunplay as well. Looks very Max Payne 3-ish. I don't get what other problems in gameplay GTA IV had. You can argue about mission structure but for its time it had solid gameplay mechanics.[QUOTE="Big_Pecks"]Michael is from a life of crime. The main problems I had with GTA IV:
Awful AI
Inconsistent/wonky physics
Very little interactivity in the city outside scripted missions
Driving (though this seems to be a matter of preference)
The shooting didn't bother me as much as those, it was just pretty bland. Nice to know they improved it, but like I said it was never my biggest issue with the game.
[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]This seems like it will please those that complained the serious attitude of GTA IV.CranlerWhat serious attitude? Practically every cutscene I can think of in GTA 4 had humor in it. Wasn't very good humor, though. And as far as I can remember it was never quite as "playful" as the humor in these trailers.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: It would take some serious game design errors to make this a bad game. It's ambition and it's pedigree are through the roof. R* basically perfected the third person shooting mechanics with Max Payne 3. Even if they rehash the driving mechanics from GTA 4 (which they have said they haven't done), this game would still approach gameplay perfection.
The ONLY concern at this point is repetition. Will it be repetive like GTA 4? All signs point to no. Especially after the excellent Ballad of Gay Tony.

Huh what? All of your opinions are flawed. GTA IV had none of those problems. Please Log In to post.
