only played the third one but i remember liking it, guess i will give it a go when i get time. PC needs more jrpgs.
I was hoping they would bring it to Wii U and Next Gen, but it looks like they are going to focus squarely on PC. Its a shame. I still got the PS2 version so I'll pass.
Remind me when Legend of Legaia, Skies of Arcadia and Baten Kaitos get HD remakes. I'll be very excited then
Mmmmm
Got all those as well. Good games. The gamecube Skies was the better version though, I have them both. Man I want that game to get a sequel.

Keep in mind Grandia 2 is just getting released in HD which is not a remake.
It's akin to emulating it at a higher resolution.
We can already do that with all the games you listed.
I was playing Skies of Arcadia at 2560x1440 in Widescreen a while ago.
never was a fan JRPG's , too cratoonish. there are lot of great PC games that still have no remastered version like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines
I remember playing Grandia 1,2 and Xtreme on my PS2 but not 3.
I might buy this because of nostalgia.
Think I still have the old PC version, with the terribly pixelated cinematics somewhere. It's quite generic but very fun. Since I loved it, I'll buy this version too, for nostalgia if nothing else.
well thats pretty random.
why the 2nd game and not the first?
I'd imagine getting the second one looking better would be easier as it's all polygonal and would upscale well. But the first would require you to redraw most of the sprites for them to be at an acceptable standard.
I loved Grandia I & II back in the days. I really enjoyed the fun gameplay, charming characters, and almost Ghibli/Miyazaki-like adventurous feel. The stories were pretty cliche, but that didn't bother me, since the characters, and their relationships and banter, were what really made the stories enjoyable. Grandia III was a disappointment though.
