Google Brings Pokémon to iOS/Android | Out Now!

Literally.

Loading Video...

Dozens of wild Pokémon have taken up residence on streets, amidst forests and atop mountains throughout Google Maps.

To catch 'em all, grab your Poké Ball and the newest version of Google Maps for iPhone or Android. Then tap the search bar, "press start," and begin your quest.

Pretty neat little thing if you ask me. Go into GoogleMaps, press the Pokéball Start button and it loads things up. Anyone going to be trying to catch a couple Pokémon with this, maybe even as many as you can? Or is this pointless?

I think it's fun. :P

Easily. They are easy to navigate and a lot of fun to explore. At times there are some nuisances, like Castelia City in Black/White, or to an even grander scale Lumiose City in X and Y, but usually it's fun to immerse yourself in them.

Lucario near Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty has a couple, White House has Meganium, Tokyo has like six of them, CERN has a lot of them, Sydney is flooded with Pokemon, Singapore has quite a few, Lyons France and Vatican have a bit.

So disappointed I wasn't able to find any around where I live. :( Curse you Google!

So this is legit? How did Google get the rights to this? I see no Nintendo branding anywhere.

I mean April fools day is tomorrow you know

They don't appear on my Google Maps. What am I doing wrong? There's no Pokemon button.

Only real gamers can see it.

I've already caught a Snorlax, Kirlia, Gyarados, Salamence, Pachirisu and a few other pokemon I've never heard of. I'm currently looking for Jigglypuff. Once I have that, my quest to total domination can truly begin.

Anybody found a Jigglypuff?
