For me it's because Kratos looked really silly in real life and after playing through three games with that character, I've come to not care about any emotion he feels. He's mostly an unforgiveable jerk. It's really hard to believe he liked anybody ever...

Because it wasn't emotional. The trailer was cheesy and had terrible music. Has nothing to do with emotions, that trailer was just bad.
I don't think adults had perfect teeth 2500 years ago, let alone teeth at all. Not a single tooth is missing from anyone but the growing little girl, and they're all perfectly symmetrical. Really takes away from the believability, in my opinion. And goddamn are they white!

I think it's really unfortunate the way gaming ads are these days. They never advertise the product any more. It's just some random CGI or live action bit (usually in slow motion) made out of the scenario of the game. Gameplay in VG ads is all but a thing of the past now.

They don't advertise the product? I don't know what you were watching but I saw a videogame being advertised, also superbowl commercials are about 3 mins long and expensive to get. Whats 3 mins of gameplay going to acheive? Why not just make a 3 min short film and build up buzz and hype about the game? Also we live in the digital age so don't give me that, "we get no gameplay in our ads" if there is a game your interested in there is this thing called youtube, hell santa monica put out the first 30 mins of GOD OF WAR ASCENSION, also its freaking God of War, i'm sure you already know how the gameplay is going to be. Gamers complain about the stupidest things at times

GoW was never about killing people ( well maybe the first game ), you always be killing demons and gods.. sometimes you see people running in the game but ONLY YOU decided if you wanna kill them or not to gain health points.
it's obvious why they're there, and it's obvious what you should do to them. don't try to disguise it as some moral choice crap, because it's not. hell, in the beginning of GoW1 there's a short cutscene where kratos starts pulling a man to save him, robs him of whatever he was holding (can't remember what), then throws the poor guy to his death, just like that. and greek gods are people. they're human, they can have kids, they feel pain and they can die.
Honestly, how is this a problem again?
If you let your own moral compass dictate whats right and wrong in a video game, I think that's your own problem entirely.

I love gow but this was lame ass hell. Do a live "action" trailer next time please. No want wants to see kratos crying, they want to see him kicking some ass.

Nothing about that drew any emotion from me at all, except disgust for the song choice.
I thought it was a good, the song grows on you throughout trailer. And the person they cast as Kratos was pretty spot on, much better than the weird looking Kratos in the PlayStation All-Stars commercial.Â

Just because a trailer is well put together doesn't mean the enitire game is going to be the same. Most of the time it's just a marketing stunt to draw in the ignorant casuals.
