Give reasons why you wouldn't buy each of consoles

Xbox One:

it's underpowered, too expensive and has kinect. The tv apps doesn't mean shit here in europe and Live is barebones and you only get online. Everything is also behind a paywall. Which isn't a requirement on any other system known to us. Too little indie games and also too many many shooters. There is too little to choose from outside of the big 4. It also doesn't seem to improve on indie games or getting new ip's

Wii U:

Needs a price cut, more games, more third party games

Wii U- It would be more senssible to borrow it from someone just to play the Marios and whatever else. Otherwise it'd be taking up space 99% of the time.

PS4- Still got plenty of 7th gen games to finish. Needs more than Infamous, Resogun and Killzone. A bigger HDD and better DS4 battery life are needed too.

Xbone- More expensive than PS4 and appears to be inferior in most ways, so not much point. Interesting exclusives aren't coming until late 2014-2015. Will make a very good secondary console one day though, I'm sure.

Xbone: Has zero games that interest me.

WiiU: Has one game that interests me.

PS4: The Japanese titles aren't here yet, Last guardian isn't here yet. There's games that interest me coming down the pipeline but nothing is out right now that screams buy me.

XBox360/PS3 = still have games I've yet to play

XBox1/PS4 = no games I'm interested yet

Xbox One: standard Kinect, lack of interesting exclusives, weak multiplats.

That's it, I own the other two.

Price is the main one. Lack of games comes a close second.

Because there are no games that interest me . Games are also very expensive on consoles and we barely see a price drop . Online is not free , Hardware is mediocre compared to last gen and today's midrange-High End PCs. As I already said that exclusives on any platform don't interest me and I don't play multiplatforms on consoles (Witcher 3 on lowest settings , below 30fps on 720p and 900p with controller .? No thanks). So no consoles for me this gen .

The only game that interests me is Quantum Break but I'll wait for PC release . If it doesn't come out then I can live without it . Won't buy a console for one game.

I used to own a Wii U but I really didn't like it. I just own a PS3 and A PC and they are just fine for right now. Everything else looks like shit to me as far as exclusives are concerned and most of the multiplats are on the PC so there is no need for me to waste my cash..

• Microsoft's shenanigans...I hate their business practices and how they nickel-and-dime their consumers
• Services hidden behind pay-wall

PS4

• Lack of compelling software (right now)

WiiU - A barren desert for games with only a rare 1st party oasis, weakest graphics, sound, online, account, media features, no achievements, clunky tablet controller.

Xbone - The dearest console yet weaker than PS4. Weakest multiplats. Focus on crappy Kinect, media, American stuff (eg raving about NFL apps and US tv integration that have zero impact on me) at the expense of gaming. 1st party games have been a pile of flops, except Forza (which was itself damaged by microtransactions). MS history suggests a shorter lifespan than PS4. Pay to play online, and even for Netflix.

PS4 - Pay to play online and not a whole lot of great games yet. (not much bad to say about PS4 honestly :P)

Some key ones like MGS5 and Destiny will miss PC tho... between them and Sony 1st party I reckon a PS4 will be very worth it soon enough.

Wii-U: The only thing the Wii-U has going for it is my interest in The Legend of Zelda. Otherwise the 360 is superior in every way and I've owned that for 7 years now. The lack of multiplayer games, western RPG's, and features is a major thing to me.

PS4: Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about the console other than right now it doesn't have any games I just have to play. TLOU is amazing, but higher resolution and better graphics aren't enough of an upgrade for me to buy a PS4 for that game. I am honestly interested in The Order:1886, Uncharted 4, a sequel to TLOU. Other than exclusives I wouldn't need or want a PS4. I feel the One is the superior console for my interests and tastes.

Xbox One: Its overpriced and should be $350-$400 dollars. Outside of that I think what it does now and will do in the future makes it a great experience.

Wii U: Way to overpriced for a system that has absolutely no 3rd party support and Locks your purchases to the system itself rather to your account (this is my main reason i havent purchased the system yet since i buy all my games via digital download).

XB1: Kinect included with the system for $100 more (something i will never use), after that stunt they tried to pull at E3 with that DRM/always online bullshit, and the fact they focused on casual Kinect games for almost half of last gen i will never trust them again.

PS4: waiting for the limited edtion MGS5: the phantom pain PS4 bundle.

X1 because I have no interest in it.

Wii U because it is under powered and I dislike the controls.

Nintendo DS and Vita because I'm not interested in handheld gaming.

Price, lack of games, paying for online, unproven hardware/durability, gimmicks, shitty jump in power this gen, the fact my PC is more powerful than all of them and will continue to play multiplats better at a cheaper price, until I decide to pick up a PS4/One when their prices are reduced drastically.

For all 3: price that won't match my enjoyment of the system.

I have last gen consoles with extensive libraries on them. There aren't enough interesting games out/announced for me to be excited for an XboxOne/PS4. Wii-U is a possibility at the end of the year though.

I'm thinking they just haven't been announced yet.

I have a Wii U, and I like the exclusives.

However, my gaming rig is down thanks to a brownout and the PS4 looks very tempting with MLB 14 coming in May.

I have no reason to buy an Xbox one except for Forza 5 and even then, I am not willing to pay between PSN and XBL 60 bucks a year just to play online.

Right now, I only play SC2 and Diablo 3 on my MacBook Pro, so not a big deal there.

Those are my reasons. Besides, you cannot play same stuff on console. Once a new generation steps in, you can kiss a goodbye to your games since they only work with that old console. Everything works on PC, even console games.

edit: And consoles have the major amount of dumbing down. Yeah, that's probably the biggest factor.

WiiU:
Where to even begin with this... I don't like anything about it, not the exclusives, not the hardware, and not the multiplats. Then there was the horror stories of updates bricking the system which should never happen.

Xbox One:

Microsoft are a bunch of morons for starters, their company ethos is completely horrid for example their attempt at forced DRM. (major complaint)
Their attempt at hardware design is laughable (external PSU, AA batteries, console design, non replaceable hard drive). (major complaint)
Kinect does not interest me enough to be forced to pay for it. (major complaint)
Touch UI (Windows 8 style) used with a controller or even a mouse is a stupid idea. (minor complaint)
Weak hardware compared to the competition and lack of games achieving 1080p let alone 60FPS.
Lack of games that interest me enough spend money on it (more of a waiting thing than a complaint).
There are probably other issues such as the lack of media features as in the PS4 but have no desire to even look for more problems.

I just see less value in a WiiU and X1 than I do in the PS4.

A better question would be, why would people own all consoles?

No one has time to play all good games on all platforms. Last gen, for example, i hated to miss all those good PS3 and Wii exclusives, but i also missed good games on my console due to lack of time (Batman series, Dark Souls series, Metro Last Light, etc, etc...).

I will not buy a next gen console because of the lack of Dark Souls 2 on them.
