Ghost Recon Wildlands beta is so bad

How is this even a Ghost Recon game? The world is big just for the sake of being big with most of it being completely empty. The driving is ass. There is no PVP MP which was such a big part of the rest of the series. The AI is ridiculously dumb.

R6 Siege must've been a fluke because this company can't get anything else right.

It plays like a combination of Socom 2 and Just Cause. The fun of it is playing in co-op.

It's better than The Division since it has the stealth component and the missions are designed in a better format, especially once you get deeper into the game. The shear number of vehicles and weapons make it hilarious with friends. The game world is like 10x the size of The Division. The two zones they have unlocked in the open are as big as that game and it has 21 zones.

I agree the helicopter controls suck.

It's no game of the year but it's pretty fun to me. Reminds me of Conflict Desert Storm on the OG Xbox. Mediocre game that's really fun to play with friends.

I haven't played the beta yet, but I played the alpha, and that was awesome. It might be because you are playing it on the ClosedStation. Try it on Xbox One instead.

It's very sad what happened to Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon.

M|uch like what happened to Star Trek. A once venerable season, an intelligent show that challenged the viewer, reduce to a bunch of bro's fighting another angry man with a super weapon while lenses flare runs rampant. Spock reaching out as Winona Ryder falls down a hole.

Some people like Rainbow 6: Siege, a microtransaction ridden Counterstrike for people who can't play well, but they didn't play Rainbow 6: Rogue Spear. They don't understand.

This game looked terrible from the onset. no amount of Gamespot spamming "get ready for beta" and "5 things you must know" like bad car salesmen will change that, it sucks.

No, Wildlands is not a masterpiece. Far from that and I wouldn't call Horizon unpolished piece of shit. Granted it has shitty gameplay but at least it looks good for a console game.

Rainbow Six has had plenty of great games, the Ghost Recon franchise has had none.

I swear the only reason these games were ever popular is because lemmings had nothing else, so would brag about best versions of time exclusivity.

Yeah, it's pretty garbage. I was actually quite impressed with For Honor, because it's a good game, but I wasn't surprised at how bad this game turned out. It's Ubisoft, so I automatically expect the worst.

To be fair, Far Cry 4 was pretty awesome. Arguably the best FPS in years.

Try playing it on harder difficulties. It's a challenge.

Played a few hours this evening with a couple of mates.

I completely agree with everything you've said. The game comes into it's stride with good friends. If you only played solo it would be a bit meh and you'd miss out on the most of the fun.

They, absolutely, need to do something with the helicopter controls.

Its ok if you are playing with a friend, but the textures and driving are shit

not in any sense or form. its worse version of far cry 3. its basically far cry 3 except FC3 was actually quite good and FC4 is not.

Tried it yesterday and all I can say is The Division in the jungles of South of America, small difference though is that the AI isn't a huge billet sponge. I was hoping more of a actual military style game. Will probably pass on this one

Far Cry 3 protagonist asshole though. Bunch of annoying Americans who not understand local culture stomp around like John Wayne and get just deserts. Then immediately some black guy declares you his special god and you get tattoo's that make white Jersey Shore person Supreme Leader Snoke of all indigenous people within half hour and must save annoying rich Americans while gunning down poor people who felt pushed into joining gang.

Far Cry 4 realize Ubisoft story-telling shit, intrusive, and gets in the way, so just chucks player in sandbox to go about business. Builds COOP directly into the game, adds far more weapons and items, adds ability to fly. Adds alternate areas (snow and magical pink land) improves enemies, mission variety,

Far Cry 4 Shotgun make people fly. Doom just makes them glow like big light-bulb for scripted punch punch.

It lost the tight controls of Future Soldier--which as a whole was average enough as is--and then locked it's gameplay behind a "RPG" system that was done for free in FS. The cover system took as shit as well. Far as I'm concern, I'm done with the series. FS was at least somewhat playable, this WL is nothing more than an cheap "Co-OP" game because they can't code AI excuse of a game.

People with friends will love the game. People that like playing Dark Souls alone or old school tactical R6 games will probably hate it.

I think a lot of people are missing the boat on what they were actually trying to do with this game. It's basically an improvement on The Division with more playability and more organized campaign. It dumped the colored gear and bullet sponges and made the game fun. It actually has a continuously flowing dynamic campaign that you don't have to queue up and join a group to experience.

This game is not R6 Patriots that was supposed to be the next 'real' tactical game. But it's does what it's trying to do pretty well.

Hopefully they will eventually bring out a Patriots type game, but this isn't it and was never put out there like it would be one.

I'll be buying it hit me up on Xbox Live if you wanna play. I probably won't be playing the open anymore though I'll wait for release.
