The first Gears of War game came out 9 years ago and it actually warrants a remaster because of the glitches making the online a chore sometimes.

The Last of Us was a lazy port of a year old game that didn't even add features that they showed off and didn't deliver on.

Lol. Bullshit. Ive put over hundreds of hours EACH into both of the PS3/PS4 versions, had the season pass, the Left Behind expansion, and all the multiplayer maps, and was a day one buyer of the PS4 remaster. There was absolutely no difference whatsoever between the PS3/PS4 versions except for framerate and "teh 1080p". Nothing in the game was changed, altered, or improved asset-wise.

A better example would have been the GTAV next gen port.

@megane: The purpose for TLoU Remastered for PS4 was the fact that there was lots of demanding for it and not only that, that remastered version was also for any Xbox 360 owners who made the jump to PS4 were able to play this game, Angry Joe was one of those Xbox 360 who didn't own a PS3.

If it's really just the first one I don't care. Needs to be a collection to be interesting. People will forgive doing nothing but upping framerate and resolution if it's a collection. But if it's just one game they'll want more than that.

Btw, GOW was definitely NOT as gray as that pic. No, it's not the most colorful game in the world, especially the night scenes, but that's intentional. But it isn't as monochrome as that pic makes it seem.

They are making a new Gears of War. This is a different team working on the remastered version for Xbox One.

This could be good, but I would be a bit more excited if they would put the friendly AI from Gears of War 2 in the remaster of the campaign. It's the one thing which pissed me off about the first game. I just remember all the AI team mates getting shot down all the time on the harder difficulties.

Adding some graphic settings is easier.

Sorry I'm not buying a GeoW remaster unless it's a trilogy compilation. To have just one game remastered and sold at what's probably going to be $30-40 bucks is ridiculous. Give me a trilogy, all running at 60 fps, uprezzed, with better audio, and he'll, I may even humor reactivating my LIVE account just to play it while also paying $49-$59.

But just one game that's 9 years old?! **** off. A waste of my time and money.

Yeah, I agree. A remastered trilogy all in one package, or even better yet all 4 of the games, I would definitely buy. But meh to just one of them.

Never played it, looks very pretty.

These graphics were ahead of their time back in the day. I can see how people get confused and expect more but trust me, they are improved greatly!

Gears campaigns are pretty shoddy and short, the bulk of the game is in the online so I'd rather they release one rather than spread the community through all four games.

As long as they get the price right, which knowing Microsoft it won't be.

The gist of it is they showed off a million AI features and didn't deliver on them, it's fine if plans change during the development for whatever reason but a month before release they flat out lied and said the AI had actually improved.

Microsoft are one of my least favourite companies in the industry, I actually like Sony a lot more for what it's worth, but this was just terrible.

@megane: I don't recall them saying anything about the AI at all, I just remember framerate improvements promises.

if they remastered gears 1-3 in addition to fable 1-3 and the existing MCC I would probably bite and get an xbone. Mainly because my 360 phat is bound to RRoD one of these days.

I hope it comes to PC. The original release was infected with Games for Windows. It doesn't work right after installation, either. I need to apply a patch and install the Games for Windows client. An update would be welcome.

Yeah, they like to say that but it's PR bullshit. GPU is 5X as powerful as X360 and the CPU difference is less than that.
