Watch Dogs footage was so amazing, i hope they put the game on next gen consoles so the game doesnt get gimped.

Discussions about its stupidity aside, the fact is that the least they can do with these lists is, I don't know, be consistent. Neither game should have made the list in a games of 2013 discussion.
[QUOTE="-Patrick_92-"]Welp, yeah :PAnimal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokemon X/Y will be more than enough for me to justify that purchase lolMine:

Agreed. That's the same kind of asshatery that won Persona 4 Golden the award for "reminding us that Persona 4 is still awesome".

Like seriously? Why don't you just freely admit you'd give the developers a blowjob? At least then it's Justified.Please. Wind Waker was better than Ocarina, any given day. It's a timeless classic that gets better the older it gets. Ocarina was a well done remake. Wind Waker will probably be better (especially if they gimp the Triforce Quest, and add in the missing dungeons instead). Hyperbole aside Ocarina has the baggage of what it meant in 1998 which is a lot more impressive what WInd Waker is in 2003.[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="jg4xchamp"] Neither game should have made the list in a games of 2013 discussion.
It's a pretty sh1tty year of upcoming stuff if you can't come up with 10 more interesting new games than a remake of a 2003 game. At least with Ocarina I get the argument for its rich pedigree, and even then I'd say that's a spot that belongs to another game that isn't something that most of us played in 1998. But Windwaker? f*ck that nonsense.jg4xchamp

[QUOTE="-Patrick_92-"]Had to with that set-up lol Yep :P You like yesterday's Nintendo Direct?Yeah it was awesome, Sony and MS should take note on how to announce games. E3 seems so archaic now. If I ever get a Wii U I'd be excited to get Mario Kart, SSB (even though I suck at them), the new Zelda...and Wind Waker HD, looking forward to seeing it in motion. Project X looks great, but usually I'm not into JRPG's, same reasoning for me not wanting to get Ni No Kuni, even though it looks like a great game. Pokemon is the exception when it comes to JRPG's.[QUOTE="charizard1605"] I should have posted an inb4 :Pcharizard1605
I should probably get around to playing a Zelda game. I own OoT on 3DS, just haven't messed around with it much. The little bit I played of it didn't have any affect on me.
Play it through to the end. Try to play for a few hours at a time. Play it like a console game. Obviously it won't have the same impact now that it did in 1998, but good game design does not age.I should probably get around to playing a Zelda game. It also has the best exploration oriented nature in the series charizard1605In what way? Because the main dungeon design is as linear as you can get, and really the only really impressive things you get out of exploring other areas was finding what...the upgrade for arros and bombs? And you got that from a queen fairy and some other sh1t? Kind of weak exploration here.
Questionable statement, but sure I'd probably roll with windwakerthe best soundtrack,
That goes back to art work which okay no Zelda game can match the actual presentation of Wind Waker, because straight up 20 years from now that game will still look fantastic.the best characterization,
Um f*ck no. Majora's Mask has that by a land slide by being the most mature of the bunch, and Twilight Princess is criminally overlooked for it. Midna's stuff is way more interesting than the Sages had hyrule flooded. Hell at this point Skyward Sword had more interesting tidbits on the lore of Zelda as a whole. Lame boss fights with black blob of doom aside.arguably the best story (lol stories in Zelda), best dialog,
Consistent is a nice flowery of way of putting "The Dungeons aren't great, but at least they aren't awful" which is just as questionable of a statement. Ocarina can at least be forgiven for what it did in 1998, but MM, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword have plenty of dungeons that just flat out stomp on Wind Waker's offerings. Neither of them have a lame attempt at stealth orand at least a consistent quality in dungeon design (which is more than I can say for any other Zelda game bar Twilight Princess).
What impact? what impact? Reality is they took Ocarina and put it in an ocean with some of the best art work of that era(maybe ever).I do agree though, that Ocarina meant more in 1998 than Wind Waker did in 2003, that's true. However, in hindsight, the impact of Wind Waker and its stylistic choices can also not be debated.
