None. The highest I would give is 9.5, for simplicity. I could go 9.99999 but whatever. There are flaws in all of my favorite games.

Hitman codename 47 & Deus Ex are the best ones in the list.... still not a 10 though

not nostalgia, fifa 98 managed to translate the soccer game to 3D better than any other soccer game did and pretty much set the building blocks for all the other fifa games that followed.

I think Resident Evil IV deserved a 10 - I haven't checked which scores it was getting, but the game expanded in every direction and influenced so many other games.

@Suppaman100: No it doesn't, especially in the real world. Does a five star hotel mean it is perfect? Does a four star movie mean it is perfect? No, don't be ridiculous, it just means that they are the best in their class, which is a subjective criteria, rather than 'perfection,' which is an abstract objective quantity.

Kirby Triple Deluxe deserves to be a 10. Smash Bros Wii U should be a 10. Mario Kart Wii U is easily a 10. I also think Splatoon should be a 10.

So because gaming and other media,... use criteria incorrect, a 10/10 is...no 10/10?

And your comparison with 5 stars is flawed, of course 5 stars does not mean perfection, it's an indication of the ranking of their respective area, in this case, hotels. Hence they use stars and not the /10 criteria.

Although I understand where your logic is coming from. A review is a subjective opinion about a game, so the reviewer can give a 10 if he finds the game 'perfect'...that's what most people think. The job of a reviewer is to be as OBJECTIVE as possible and leave his biases out. Therefore he can not give a perfect 10/10 score, since no game is perfect (atleast I hope we can agree with the fact that no game is perfect).

If gaming media wants to give out an indication of class, they should use stars,... and not the /10 scale. And I think GS states somewhere if I'm not mistaken, that they don't find 10/10 to be 'perfect' games but like stars, an indication of class. Still does not make their usage of the /10 scale correct.

But I'm not going to be too pedantic about this since I know you're a GS member/mod, I know you need to defend their criteria usage so I'll leave it at this.

On topic, my 10/10s:

Shadow of the Colossus: my favorite game ever, it's an excellent interactive work that conjures all sorts of emotions and questions all while completely overshadowing the technical flaws it has.

Mario and Luigi: SuperStar Saga: so perfectly paced, the game is concerned with nothing but enjoying itself and being a good time. Its turn based combat is still highly interactive and its comedic twist on the Mario formula is brilliant.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow: Iga's best work, with the best balance and some of his best bosses. It's huge with much less filler than his other work and remains extremely fun throughout. Symphony of the Night had the twist, but that twist is just huge amounts of filler, better bosses aside. Dawn of Sorrow is balanced much better.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: the biggest compliment this game deserves is that it makes its masterpiece of a predecessor look pedestrian. The best game of last generation.

The only games i can give 10 imho are the ones that either brought something innovative and pushed their respective genre to a whole new level or they were revolutionary or both AT THEIR RESPECTIVE TIME when at the same time i had really fun to play with while the whole experience was something i never played before or at least never felt so good. Too many to bother listing... as I consider a "10/10" rating about the enjoyment of the experience at the time rather than an evaluation of the quality of the game.

For instance, I doubt I would enjoy Shadow of the Colossus as a "10/10" now, since it's been about 10 years since I first played it and the game has aged significantly over time.

There are a few games I'd consider lasting 10/10 experiences though:

1. Super Metroid
2. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
4. Doom/Doom II: Hell on Earth
5. (this one still needs time but I still return to it often) Batman: Arkham City

That's not how it works, the score is given when the game is released. I wouldn't give mortal kombat 1 a 10 if it released today, but of course it released almost 25 years ago

But I'm neither a reviewer nor a critic, so I don't go by scores for evaluating a game's quality or worth.

Do I enjoy playing it? Yes? Then it gets a good score.

I don't try and sell my opinion as something it isn't.

the writting in those games is always exceptional. wish they'd rub some of that off on bethesda. god their writting sucks u_u

These aren't necessarily the only ones...but I either haven't played them or haven't finished them. Particularly Halo Reach and 4 come to mind.

I would assume Forza Horizon 2 would be on that list, given how good Horizon 1 was. I haven't actually played it though, so...
