First off...if you don't know who PewDiePie is, he's the most popular gamer on YouTube, holding close to 15million subs.

Now, Beyond, like other QuanticDream games, has caused much polarization in the community...SW community that is.

However, Pewds is just wrapping up his walkthrough, and with, on average, a comment posted every 10 seconds...well here's just a small taste of the majority of posters: (warning, there are spoilers)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcmrD0cTthc

Oh my god!!! That was so intense!!

Cried so much

this is a spectacular game just really amazing

This is the best story in a game ever, needs to be made into a movie, anyone else agree?

Damn its make me cry ;""( ooh my god i love this story

I'm gonna be so sad when this is done

Hey pewdiepie can you try a new series like this because I liked this one and so sad it's over

Please upload the other ending pewds. Brought the tears man, gotta love games that do that

Oh my god ;_; my poor poor emotions. That was. Oh my gosh ;_;

What a beautiful story! Made me cry :'( Mama Cole...and Aiden D':

etc. etc. etc.

So.. can we agree now, that the age of the "Interactive Cinematic Experience" is looking bright, with Cage and Quantic Dream leading the way?

Personally...The Last of Us is still my goty, but on my third playthrough of Beyond...and it is amazing.

I can't imagine spending $60 hard earned dollars on a game like this, but I do want to play it when it hits the bargain bin.

Another AAAE world class gaming experience brought to you by one of the army of Sony's legendary pedigree of developers. Will be playing this soon. Loved Heavy Rain.

Definitely a great game, Quantic Dream is one of my favourite developers, they truly make you care about the characters that are in the game

HR > Beyond

Albeit Ellen Page's performance is top notch and the game has some excellent scenes

Completely agree with the criticisms and the praises. You simply have to try it for yourself to determine which holds more weight for you.

'Gamers'

Also, lawl at using Youtube comments to claim, well, anything. Is this how low cows have fallen?

Rofl, just... rofl.

Beyond Two Souls is awesome, I'm on the last chapter and I'm very impressed with it. Probably in my top 5 best games released this whole year, and Ellen Page's performance is really really good. Totally recommend it to anyone who liked Heavy Rain

That is true, Heavy Rain is just a masterpiece

yeah thats true.. HR>Beyond. but beyond is also a very great game 9.0 for HR and a 8.5 for Beyond for me

@TheEroica:

you know Sony will deliver the exclusives, I know they will and so does the world..

http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/06/10/30-ps4-games-in-development-by-sony-worldwide-studios-20-out-in-first-year-12-new-ip/

Sony wont drop core like MS did in 2009 and I still chuckle from all your talk in the past about how insignificant exclusives are. ;) I'll stick to my guns though,I love my exclusives and Sony will continue to deliver after all when you post the #truth and fight for freedom and justice, AND Live, Learn and Love to the fullest each day, it's demanded of ones self.

I'll get it when it's the same price as other blu ray movies

#18 Posted by biggest_loser (24012 posts) -

I've been told that you can beat the game by putting the controller down and doing almost nothing. Is that really the future of games? :/

#19 Posted by rjdofu (9170 posts) -

Pewdiepie is an overrated POS, and so is Beyond 2 soul, lol.

#20 Edited by soulitane (13417 posts) -

I'd rather see movie critic's opinion on it personally. It's a game but it's obviously trying to be a movie of sorts, so I'd like to see how it holds up to people who aren't gamers (whom quite often hype up garbage stories).

#21 Edited by Pikminmaniac (8707 posts) -

You'd actually have to pay me to play a game like Heavy rain or Beyond Two Souls. The lack of player control in a game is one of those things that makes me go nuts. I thought Uncharted 2 crossed that line too far so you can imagine how awful an experience like Beyond would be for me.

#22 Edited by uninspiredcup (7668 posts) -

70 metacritic. No gameplay. Bad writing e.t.c... Go play monkey island.

#23 Posted by Phazevariance (10934 posts) -

Heavy Rain was ok, but I jsut lost interest somehwere near the mid to late portion of the game. Although a few parts got pretty intense. If i find it in the cheap bin ill try beyond.

I can't imagine having the patience to watch a video from someone named "PewDiePie"...

haha

wasup guiz

it's pweeewwdeh pie

#26 Posted by Sagem28 (10498 posts) -

God that Pewdietitty guy is annoying.

#27 Posted by LostProphetFLCL (17081 posts) -

Yeah a completely story based "game" written by a guy who couldn't write an even decent story to save his life?

Yeah, I'll pass...

#28 Posted by voljin1987 (687 posts) -

I miss the old lvl 10 requirement to start posts in SW

#29 Posted by NameIess_One (559 posts) -

My thoughts on the video:

DAT TWIST THOU... even the title gave a clear impression it's not something you want watching... then a second later, some annoying guy popped up, and uttered a few words that instantly forced my hand towards that nice red X button in the corner.

All in all, I give this a 0/10, and I feel sad for the cows who have fallen so low to use a random Youtuber to make a point.

#30 Posted by Pffrbt (6483 posts) -

I rented the game with low expectations and was still disappointed.

#31 Edited by KungfuKitten (20783 posts) -

Gaming sites have spoiled so much of the game (right after saying there would be no spoilers) that I am completely not interested in buying the game.

I'll play it later but i don't expect it to be better than Heavy Rain.

Thread should be titled "Viewers have spoken: Beyond is amazing!"

#35 Posted by GhoX (4684 posts) -

Sounds like a great movie. I'll watch it on youtube at some point instead of getting it.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/beyond-two-souls

I won't comment on scores, but this game has received the definition of "mixed reception". It's not a groundbreaking game, can't compete for GOTY, and certainly not a system seller.

#36 Posted by mrintro (1354 posts) -

It's really not that great. Not even as a movie. But this is why crappy movies make a lot of money in Hollywood.

Does it count as being a gamer if you watch all your games on Youtube?

pewdiepie??? lol.

Sure. That's what I'm going to do.

#41 Posted by Lulu_Lulu (9943 posts) -

Its a whole different animal. Even Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit veterans will find Beyond to be quite uncharted territory.

#42 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (3390 posts) -

Youtube comments? Really? What a joke.

#43 Posted by bobbetybob (19128 posts) -

Youtube comments? Really? What a joke.

Didn't you hear? The new rules mean you can only post threads if you have a ridiculous unreliable source.

#44 Edited by Gue1 (9439 posts) -

PewDiePie is just an idiot but because he's good looking he has an audience. That's just the kind of shallow world we live in. His opinion is irrelevant.

I think System Wars is getting worse. Didn't think that was possible.

Rofl, just... rofl.

What he said. Using comments on youtube to claim a game is amazing? Come on cows put a little more effort. Besides those watching the aforementioned video are peobably ps3 owners the vast majority and probably a good amount of them owns beyond so what do you expect to say ?

#47 Posted by seanmcloughlin (38210 posts) -

You used a PewDiePie video as your source? :/

They're gonna be overtly positive about anything he plays to show their support towards him

#48 Posted by seanmcloughlin (38210 posts) -

If it's a QD game then yeah :P

#49 Posted by k2theswiss (16598 posts) -

so have everone else to

#50 Posted by Senor_Kami (8292 posts) -

This game is great. I rented it, beat it, then went out and plopped down $60 for it. But come on. YouTube comments? What a lousy metric to use. On some s*it called Pewdie Pie Pie or WhateverTF it was? You make every PS3 owner and person who enjoys this look bad by pulling this type of stuff.
