Free Skyrim Weekend on Steam

Nice. I wanna try Skyrim on my new PC, but i've been too lazy in buying it.

Greatest game of the last generation and top 5 game of all time. Great news for anyone who hasn't played Godrim.

It's only free if you don't mod it :P

great game, but do NOT buy mods, in fact, dont use the workshop for the game at all, aside from the new system for paid stuff....just using the workshop to organize and install mods is like asking for conflicts

Honestly if you're using Steam Workshop for getting Skyrim mods then you're doing it wrong...

I primarily use Skyrim Nexus, not only that, but I also upload my own mods primarily to Skyrim Nexus.

This could also be potentially a good move. Imagine if something similar was implemented for Morrowind mods and how much quicker we would see a finished Tamriel Rebuilt.

Dark0ne pretty much sums up my opinion on the matter. Modders didn't expect to paid going into the hobby and they still don't now.

Yeah I mean people really do it out of love for the TES games and it is hobby. No one ever wanted to get paid for these, they just wanted to make their game better. This is why to me TES games are the best games because they are constantly growing and evolving. I mean look at Morrowind at this point! It's unreal what's been done with that at this point and it's still growing.

Because PC touched him years ago, and he's still traumatized.

That's cool, I'm done with Skyrim though and I didn't even bother with the expansions. More of a Fallout fan and waiting eagerly for 4!

Shitty game for free is still a shitty game.

You can make it palatable with mods, but those aren't free. It's one of many problems associated with pc gaming.

Agreed it's one of the best games ever made. It can feel so cinematic with a good ENB with the settings maxed (I use Project ENB myself) I guess that's the unfortunate thing about it being only a weekend is not being able to try all the fantastic mods available and being able to find the "right" Skyrim for you.

I beat it twice already, once on PC. Great game.

Fantastic game, but I'm burnt out on it.

Legendary edition is just under $14 on steam, versus the base game at $5. Is the DLC worth the $9 cost?

One of the worst games of all time. Play New Vegas instead, much better game.
