football comes to the wiiU

besides madden 2012...

its an indie game designed specifically for wiiU gamepad. coming 2014.

maybe they will take full advantage? drawing plays n stuff? unlike EA.

Nintendo has such a fantastic track record of working with and supporting small, indie developers who want to make games for their consoles. I'm sure this will work out well.

Not the kind of football I was hoping for

Hahaha here came thinking EA or some other made a serious football game:D

I'd be fine if Nintendo could just convince EA to put out some Hitz, Blitz, Slugfest and Jams on the Wii U... but maybe save themselves on the professional sports licensing costs by using Nintendo franchise characters and maybe doing like Smash Bros does license characters from third parties as well, then release all four sports on one disc, call it Nintendo Seasons or something, justify a full retail price for it. That'd be something the other systems can't have.

@faizan_faizan: No, TC was right. Soccer isn't much of a sport anyways. Guys flopping and flailing all over the field; it's pretty much ballet...except played outside.

Therefore football gets the naming rights.

How about Nintendo Football Superstars. featuring characters from all of Nintendo's ips.

Much more potential than another Mario sports game with a weak cast of characters. Should've done it with Mario Golf, Strikers, tennis, Sluggers, and MK.
