First XBox One bricked console reported

Like I said last week, this is launch and these things happen.

Now it's time for the Xbox Fanboys to get a taste of their meds this week and next.

These things happen with launches, especially when they are rushed like PS4 and X1 obviously have.

So it begins.

Not too sure why people look so deep into this, every bit of hardware has failures, all PC hardware, to everything electronic.

Next we will have vibrators up with no light of death.

It happens. I had a PS2 brick at launch, second one worked fine.

had 3 Xbox 360's brick

and 1 PS3 brick

It happens, but the PS4 brick was seen live on twitch and everyone shared it and the shit storm came to town. I doubt Xbox One goes as bad as PS4 but we will see.

The kid probably forgot to plug it in in the back. We'll see what happens after the launch. I'm sure there will be fanboys online making up a ton of BS because the PS4 had thousands of PS4 that broke.

We'll see if Xbox forums look anything like this after it launches.

I don't think it's immuned. I just don't think it'll have failure in the thousands like the PS4 did. There are already 100's of XB1 in journalist hands right now and this is the very first issue we've seen. Sounds like it's just a power supply problem and not a XB1 hardware issue. Time will tell.

Oh well, this should shut the ridiculous fan boy arguments up. Though lets hope we don't have another 360 on our hands!

The original Xbox felt indestructible, and mine still works perfectly to this day. 360 however...

The only console I've ever had brick, and the only console I've had to replace 3 times. After the third went down, I bought a PS3 vowing away from purchasing another xbox till next gen. I clearly made a small error in choosing to purchase a 5 year old launch console however, as the BR drive bust after a year -_-. Aside from that, it runs flawlessly though.

Just goes to show no hardware's perfect.

I know. Which is what I found funny about the comments on problems with the PS4. It would be only a matter of time until the X1 would have some. Silly SW.

The only console to date that I think was poorly made was the 360 due to the RROD issues that continued on and affected a large percentage of consoles.

All mass produced electronics is crap, I've had countless things fail. I see it as a fact of life now.

So we get a picture of an Xbox one sitting on a Wii and a Xbox 360 and some guy claiming it's DOA? He can't upload a video showing that it really isn't turning on? I am not saying that Xbox one won't have problems but this seems a little thin.

But the consoles hasn't launch yet,that mean the fail rate most be 50% or higher but i am just going by lemmings math done to the PS4. hahahaa

How in hell the power supply isn't part of the hardware.? without it the consoles doesn't start,it could also be the connection inside the xbox one where the actual power supply inputs.

Has nothing to do with being rushed. These things just happen sometimes is all in the electronic world. Iphone had that weird internal antenna problem, dreamcast had that random reset problem, LG had that 3d tv problem and so on.

When you release new product lines running into issues at first is par for the course. You cant say they were rushed, you have no personal engineering insight and personal experience in the development of these systems. Youre just mimicking what someone else said that had no personal insight either.

Sure xbox is going to have its own failed units. The thing with PS4 was that the press too got 2 units that didn't work and we had videos of others when the console wasn't even out yet.

The original PS1 was poorly made as well. It stopped reading disc months after use. You little had to turn it on it's side or upside to get it to read the CD. Eventually it just completely stopped. The Virtual Boy you could only play for about an hour before your eyes started hurting like hell. lol!! PS2 had DRE errors on a lot of their systems. Nintendo & SEGA were really the only console makers who had only minor issues with their systems.

Yes these things happen with electronics launches, I'm totally in tune with that.

It does however seem that the consoles were indeed rushed:

The lack of quality games for either console at launch, even quite a few game delays, shows that developers likely anticipated a later release of consoles

the fact that neither company announced a release date for a very long time, and eventually they announced to be within 1 week of each other, likely both competing to push their system out before the other

And then that the hardware failures could have been linked with dodgy packaging of the PS4, suggests that this was not properly thought out.

It's hilarious watching cows hoping and begging for an XB1 hardware failure. You idiots are a sad, sad bunch. lmao!! You can tell that most of you are kids or teens with nothing else better to do. I'm sure there will be some hardware failure on XB1, as it happens with most launches. I doubt it will be in the thousands like the PS4 though. Even as I type this there are still PS4's breaking right now.

Well duh. lol!! I'm saying if it's just the power supply, it's an easy replace. It's not part of the actually hardware itself. The light on the power supply is yellow. I thought it was suppose to be GREEN when it's plugged in.

Doubt it, both of my 360s power supply LEDs are yellow, the same shade of yellow as the photo in the article. Not sure why they would change that for the XBox One.

The Power Brick is part of the hardware if you don't have one you CAN'T play period the console doesn't turn on and you don't know how much MS will take to send you a new one,specially when you have to send yours first if that is the problem because MS will not send you one just because you say hay mine is damage give me one.

I love how you try to say that MS will overnight another one to you,do you have any freaking idea how much it cost to overnight something.? Sending a 2 pounds power supply over night would probably cost more than the power supply it self to make.

All systems will have problems . There will always be a percentage of consoles with issues. MS screwed up with the 360. It was pretty much universal unless you didn't play much on the console.
