First Look At Dragon's Dogma Online

Capcom has finally given us a glimpse of what Dragon's Dogma Online will look like. It kind of looks like a cross between the Final Fantasy online games and Dragon's Dogma. You can still jump on the back of enemies and plung your sword or daggers into their backs. There seems to be some bad news to go along with this teaser trailer though. The free-to-play aspect worries me the most. Not saying that automatically makes it a total bust, but people are cynical the free to play model kind of limits you to the point you're force to pay if you want any kind of substantial experience. Then again I'm kind of interest given that an online approach to the game sounds a lot better than what they had going for the original game, which really would have been better had it actually focused on a strong online system and not just pawn sharing. Plus, hopefully quests are meatier and require a team of players to take on. I didn't much like quests in the original game or the bulletin board system, plus the game world felt small when I finally finished the game and was like "was that it?!". If anything though, I hope for more big beasts to fight, I thought in trailers the original game looked more promising than what was actually delivered.

when will i get my DD2 on ps4 with 6-8man co-op and visuals that aren't from 08? I have been waiting for a long ass time now, come on crapcom. DD was one of the best rpg's i've played on 360

The trailer does not look that bad to me, if they let you play the game single player with AI, or with friends then great.

But this forced social shit + purchase coins to continue would ruin it, I would rather pay up front for the game and pay for expansions and play the game how I want to play it.

What I liked about guild wars was you didn't have to play with other people, sometimes it was a good idea but not all the time.

Don't worry guys, Capcom is doing us all a service by not releasing this game outside Japan.

smfh..., all that trailer did was piss me off. Why Crapcom? Why?

By MMO standards, the graphics are okay, the combat system looks better than most MMOs, and there's no monthly subscription. It could do well for itself in the Asian MMO markets, although they're already overcrowded with MMOs.

And oh yeah, it's coming out for PC, PS3, and PS4. But again, only in Asia.

Capcom and F2P, not a good combo.

Why the hell would they limit a f2p mmorpg to only 1 country with a declining player base. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Many tried but all failed. World of Warcraft remains the king. Guild Wars 2 was epic though.

Yeah, I'm still a bit concerned about Deep Down. I'll still give it a try because it's free, but how long will I be able to enjoy it before they're asking me to pay for microtransactions just to get further in the game? I truly don't want a DD2 Online. I want a DD2 with a bigger open world with single, co-op and multiplayer modes. Then 6-8 months later give me a decent expansion for $15-$20

Capcom hitting the F2P business

Man that sucks.... Dragon's Dogma was one of my favorite games last gen. Why do al the best games this gen get axed to pieces... that isn't really a question, just wondering why they even bother.
