FFXV New Trailer

this game has be excited like a kid the night before Christmas. ;)

So its for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020, 2021 or what year exactly? Trailer looked below average. Im not into spiky haired 17y shemans jumping 100 feet up the air and backflip 20 times before landing on the ground.

Everything in that trailer looked crappy. A cover mechanic in a Final fantasy game? really?

Plus there was far too many set pieces or QTE type scenarios happening. Visually it's a very nice spectacle but the parts that looked like gameplay looked really limited

a thing to notice from the trailer is that Square removed the red blood and made it look like some blue sparkly substance. It seems they are trying to lower down the supposedly Mature rating the game was going for to Teen.

I wish they show more of the open world gameplay, map, and vehicle travel and vehicle combat. Last time they show that was like 5 year ago haha.

That scar known as 13 on the FF name needs to be cast into a flaming pit and burned to ash. Stupidest fucking entry into a franchise ever.

Looks okay for now. Too much action though for an RPG series, and it has too much cover and a good amount of scripted sequences, but I would love to see some details on it soon.

The older FF Versus XIII gameplay trailer seems more impressive than the new FF XV trailers (in terms of gameplay, that is). The older Versus trailer showed open-world environments and mechs (kind of like Project X), something they haven't yet shown in the new FF XV trailers (unless they're working on bringing them over for the new engine). I really do hope they include the stuff they showed in the Versus trailers, because I've been waiting eight years for this game.

The one big problem with that older trailer is that the art design is rather uninspired for an FF game.

If the game is like that trailer (wich I highly doubt) than I would be mad impressed. It could take the sour taste FFXIII left on my mouth, but we'll see

This game really isn't impressing me so far. All I'm seeing is lots of eye candy cinematics and lots of scripted events. Neither does the story, setting or characters look all that great.

I hated XIII aswell but this one is being made by Nomura (FF VII and Kingdom Hearts creator) so I've a couple of hopes for it.

Well looking at the current state of this game, and the FFXIII shrinking the fanbase, I would say maybe 3 million or so units of this will be sold in about 2 years. World wide.

I never really played any of the Final Fantasy games but even I have to say that this new one looks nothing like a FF game. I mean you go from the classic FF turn based rpg games to this seems odd. If I was a fan of the original games I wouldn't like this new one at all.

Aside from leviathan the iron giants and behemoths this doesn't resemble ff in any shape or form.

Still this might be exactly what the series needs at this point,a fresh start.

Looks awesome to me , I don't understand the complaints about the setting and stuff we really don't know much about the game honestly they haven't shown us much.

I wonder was this FF was really going to be 15 the entire time or they just decided it's taking a very long time to develop and might as well make it 15.

Hey, don't give him too much credit! Kingdom Hearts, yes, but for FFVII he was a character concept artist that happened to help here and there in a few other areas. He wasn't in a lead position though, certainly not the "creator", or director.

Some how I feel the Final Fantasy guys recently played Zone of The Enders: The 2nd Runner and completely ripped off Jehuty's Zero-Shift mechanic. lol

1. Feminized boys as playable characters. Check

I've always been skeptic about final fantasy, now I'm downright disgusted by this lowest common denominator of gaming.

The latter. They spent a whole console gen (a damn long one too) trying to get this game developed.

It makes sense that they would shift to the new hardware, but it's a shame that they re-branded it to FFXV. The main series has already been heavily tainted by last gens releases and now they're stumbling into this gen with their main attraction being a spin off game that went through development hell.

I expect the FF brand to lose a lot of steam this gen, you can only ride the coat tails of past success for so long.

Yeah I can understand that, I've seen it for years as well. He certainly made some great contributions to the game though, FFVII would not have been the same without him. People just like to exaggerate his role for some reason.

Ok I'm gonna have to see some unedited gameplay, because that vid said pretty much nothing about what the game will be like.
