Favorite Voiceless FPS protagonist?

HL2 is one of if not the best FPS ever

This kind of just boils down to, "Which FPS is your favorite with a silent protagonist?" Anyway, I say Samus from Metroid (Prime), and Jack from BioShock. Jack does actually talk in the very beginning, however. "They told me: 'Son, your special. You were born to do great things.' You know what? They were right."

I didn't vote for Gordon Freeman because I'm tired of him being overrated to hell and back for doing absolutely nothing, aside from being in some truly excellent games. He's no different than the guy from FEAR, or countless other FPSs where they say nothing. At least Samus has a kickass suit, and at least Jack says something totally badass at the beginning of the game. Plus, his actions are cooler, too.

It's too bad this only about FPS protagonist otherwise I would had said Ryu from Ninja Gaiden, but in this case I'll go with Samus.dark-warmachine

Gordon Freeman by far. The stuff some of the scientists say to him in the first game give you the impression he's probably a really down to earth dude who chills at the bar after work with other co-workers. However the day the games always take place on is a "crappy" day for him. For instance he is the custodial engineer that always has to clean crap up. Like the day the games take place on is like he has cleaned all the bathrooms on floors 1-49 on a 50 floor building. Then as soon as he opens the door on the 50th floor bathroom there is a piece of crap just chillin on the floor and he has to clean it up "again" (i.e. save the world).

The other chars minus biochock because I haven't played it don't really give me the impression gordon does.

Because he is proof a voiceless character that is transparent in game, works fantastically as a piece of immersive game design.

The others dont hold a candle to him.
