@Xaero_Gravity:
It's coming, Nintendo isn't in a position to not localize their games, ESPECIALLY WII U ONES
Knowing dumbass Nintendo they won't bring it over. They bought that series and haven't bothered to localize it.
One thing I legitimately hate Nintendo for.
A new game is nice and all, for me at least, but Nintendo has/had publishing privileges on the entire series for quite a while, it was negotiated in part to their financing of Fatal Frame IV for the Wii, they should have taken full advantage of that to publish the older titles to the Wii or Wii U. Instead they never publish Fatal Frame IV outside Japan, and they only developed a Wii port of Crimson Butterfly for Japan, Europe, and Australia, nothing for North America. It'd help maybe to sell an older title if they'd give gamers access to the older games to build anticipation for a new title. They could easily slap together an anthology of Fatal Frame, Crimson Butterfly, Tormented, and Mask of the Lunar Eclipse for the Wii U. It wouldn't do much good to make a new game without giving gamers access to the previous entries in the series.
Anyhow, shouldn't hold my breath, something tells me Nintendo is going to royally **** this up somehow. Maybe this will be a Japan release only. Maybe it'll only see limited international localization for Europe and Australia. I think it'd be a goddamn miracle if this makes it to North America.
It's hard to get excited for this knowing there's a very real chance NoA won't localize it.
Didn't realise they didn't release Crimson Butterfly Wii in US....hopefully they will for this one. Wii U needs games. :P
Hopefully Nintendo will get rid of that hand holding ghost location snitch bar that pops up everytime you're fighting a ghost and that stupid lock on feature that the previous ones had. If they get rid of those two features, it would help the game be ALOT more scary. They weren't scary when the game points out where the ghosts are every time you fight one.
I liked the games but I really wasn't scared in the least. Well, I'll say the only semi scary part was when the lady came out that box with the hair looking like Sadako Yamamura. Fatal Frame 3 definitely had the best jump scares but 2 had the best environment and story.
With the Gamepad as the camera, there is no need for Lock On nor the Snitch Bar.
I want footage of this game and I truly hope that it is ALOT harder than the previous ones.
Even if it wasn't the buggy mess that Fatal Frame IV was, I still don't see it getting localized for one reason:
The inevitable bombing of Bayonetta 2

Dunno man.... You'd think Nintendo would do the obvious thing to do but many times they don't. We had to fight to get Xenoblade and Last Story here while there was not much else sight for the Wii. Not sure what they're thinking.

And the link between both games is........? Both being mature? That's it?

Yeah, and for Nintendo's sake. It's a big one, considering their horrible history with mature oriented content (and why they never bothered with it during the Wii era).
If Nintendo doesn't localize this for their struggling console, then they deserve to fail this gen. You just don't not localize games for a console that needs them and isn't selling well right now. I would love to see this come to the U.S.
At first I was like...damn so now there's 2 games I now want for the WiiU, but then I read up on the possibility of this being localised and it went back down to 1 again. Nevermind.
OT of Fatal Frame I wish they released the other games on EU PSN so I can play them already, fucking US PSN....

Think you can make a US account on PSN?

yeah but...I shouldn't have to lol (I'm lazy and like just having one account for everything.) All content should be on every version of PSN.
