OK so everone has been in Elemantry school i presume.well u remeber all the huge things that came out.

It might have been yo-yos, any sort of cards AKA pokemon, or anything of that sort. Or even a sport like 4-square.

All of these things have come and gone. When they started they were F***** huge selling like crazy. They eventually died down and then the hardcore ppl still had them, then in a year or two they vanished and some new fad came along something more advanced like  portable console.

If you havent caught on to wat i'm saying that's pretty sad. The wii i love it, play it at friends hosues. I still enjoy it but it got less fun as u went along and thats only after about 5-10 hours of gameplay. IMO the Wii is doing great but like all elemantry fads it will die down and eventually be gone. AKA very very short lifespan.

How do we know PS3 isn't the fad? After all, it's been out less than 6 months, and it's sales have already died down.

Pokemon is not exactly what I would call a fad. Besides, Nintendo have been making trading cards since the late 1800's.

The franchise celebrated its tenth anniversary on 27 February2006, and as of 1 December 2006, cumulative sold units of the video games (including home console versions) have reached more than 155 million copies.

I agree. I don't see Wii having good sales that last for more than 2 years.

do you think yo-yos just came out

thats a pretty bad example just due to the fact that you know what a yo-yo is

if it was a fad.. trust me, you'd have never heard of it

the flappers were a fad you could say

yo-yo constantly comes back into style, it's a classic

something like pogs... nobody will know wtf pogs are in 10 yrs... maybe 25 yrs from now they'll come back into style

i swear yo-yos always go in and out of style every few yrs though

do you think consoles will constantly be emulating PCs? you think thats going to be a consistent relationship?

or will that fad change too eventually..?
