Fable Legends is underappreciated

The whole point of this thread is: Evolve isn't all that! Evolve is coming out soon, everybody is excited about it, while several of my System Wars friends can confirm that its beta was nothing special to put it lightly.

Both Evolve and Fable Legends are technically the same kind of an experience: asymmetrical multiplayer with 4 heroes and a villain (Monster). Yet somehow Fable Legends looks beautiful and seems like it controls tightly while Evolve looks like shit, like a CryEngine 1 game, has horrible controls, yet everybody is hyping it.

In my opinion, people are too biased against Fable while they think Evolve is gonna be as fun as Left 4 Dead. It isn't.

Nah man, I haven't cared about anything Fable related since the first game. Haven't even checked out so much as a screen shot for Legends.

Fable 1 and 2 were good, the rest crap and you wonder why?

I know Fable 2 was good, I've finished it like 4 months ago. It was better than Mordor btw.

Because people have little reason to expect anything from Fable games.

Fable games have all been universally underwhelming and lame. Like a bunch babies first rpgs with very little to offer in terms of depth or craftsmenship. Turtle Rock on the flip side at least made a fun game once, so I'd rather take my chances with Turtle Rock.

I agree with you about Evolve, it looks chaotic abd unorganized, just like Left 4 Dead was......

Agreed but it may be a good thing if Fable Legends comes out and most not expecting too much then scores really good and becomes the awesome sleeper hit of 2015. I think there's a good chance of that happening since it sure looks interesting with great setting & visuals from what I've seen so if the game play is there, we good to go.

After 2 the series went to shit.

I'm looking forward to both of them , the only difference is that I have seen very little of the new Fable whereas I got a taste of Evolve through the Alpha. I like the premise of both games, hopefully they will come out great we will see.

I've enjoyed all the fables, yes even 3. I am looking forward to legends. Evolve I'll wait on as its an fps and well, there are a lot of them. But truthfully dude we have no clue how fable controls. Lets wait on it.

I've found that no one really cares about either tbh.

2K announced Evolve went gold 24 hours ago and I haven't heard a peep about it from any forum or news site.

Yeah you need to go and play in traffic with that opinion. Evolve looks like it's going to be a far better game and it's made by the guys who made Left 4 dead, that's why there's a comparsion.

This game doesn't look like it will have a lot of replay value to it. I'm wondering if you'll be able to play it by yourself against CPU controller players? Will you be able to level up and fight other Boss monsters later on? I know with Fable Legends, you can fight with CPU players at your side. Similar to DA: Inquisition. Evolve just seems like it will be lacking in content. There should have been at least 8 different bosses to choose from and at least 10 different classes to choose. Plus, I would like to see at least 1/2 dozen modes to compete in. I watched play video of the game with commentary and it started to get old pretty quickly.

Fable Legends is a terrible concept. They need to make a new IP RPG or reboot Fable without the over the top cringe worthy british humor.

Personally, I enjoyed Evolve, and picking it up Day1. I've enjoyed both Left4Dead's as well. I haven't had a chance to play Fable: Legends, the concept seemed cool though.

Fable has gone from "good, not great" to "crap" in it's past couple games. Evolve is new and we don't know what it's about.

Both are unimportant games to me....

I've actually enjoyed each proper fable game more with each release... But i still don't think that the franchise offers a top tier experience.

It has rpg elements but it's not a great rpg, it has action elements but it's not a great action game, it has a welcoming universe but it's not really standout. It's a decent game in the sum of its mediocre parts.... Kind of like Uncharted :D

The last thing this world needs is more Fable. Seriously. Kill it with fire.

fable sucks and legends looks terrible. evolve was fun as hell and one of the few games that requires team work and for people to play their class and playing as the monster is really empowering

well, every game would sound boring if you get that reductive. Plus, they took the most tense part of Left 4 Dead(Survivors vs Tank) and turned it into a really fun game.

For starters, The first Fable on Xbox was well done and in fact, the only Fable game that really did well at it's time. Fable 3 was the last straw for anyone to care for another Fable game and after that, gamers didn't want nothing to do with the series and Hell, I can see why Fable 3 was free with GWG, that game had totally problems and not only that, Angry Joe was spot-on with that review. Really Salt_The_Fires, did you honestly forget about that Shitty Fable 3?

Fable anniversary is the best because they remastered the Lost chapters version of the game which is 30% bigger than the original.

Believe me, the lost chapters pushed Fable from being a good game to being an awesome game and with the new unreal powered visuals of anniversary it just looks so much better than the original as well
