This thread is pretty much about showing System Wars games that they wouldn't have found without this thead.. The games can be new, old, or not even released but PLEASE make the games English.

Here are some of mine, but please post some of your own:

Title: Arcade Shooter: Ilvelo (click for gameplay)

Genre: SHMUP

Platform: Wii

A original looking (yet to be released) SHMUP, besides the UGLY box art it looks great and only for $20!

Title: Dungeon Raiders (click for gameplay)

Genre: Action RPG/Dungeon Crawler

Platform: DS

A charming looking action RPG, I can't say I have much interest in action RPGs but the game looks like it would be entertaining.. The game has not been released in the US yet, but I think the release date is in May.

Title: Commando: Steel Disaster (click for gameplay)

Genre: Run and Gun SHMUP

Platform: DS

For fans of hardcore run and gunners like Contra, the games only $15 so pick it up!

I will post more later, but these are all I'm doing right now, also if any of the pictures aren't working just comment.

Here's some new ones:

Title: Aventures On The Go!

Genre: Tactical RPG

Platform: PSP

Gungriffon Blaze

Genre: Mech Simulator

Platform: PS2

Title: Within a Deep Forest

Genre: Platformer

Platform: PC

Same here, but I doubt a lot of people here would want to play Japanese only games.

Sensible World Of Soccer or ''SWOS'' for short (XBLA)

From the creators of Cannon Fodder and maybe Worms?

This is one of the best and most addictive games ever made, but also one of the hardest to learn. The original came out 15 years ago. You'd probably have to be a european football fan to appreciate it, but it features leagues and tournaments from all over the world.

DJ Max Fever

Gameplay

Hands-down the best rhythm game released this generation in the west, and one of the best PSP games period. Excellent soundtrack, challenging gameplay, and tons of content. The other DJ Max games haven't been released here, but they're all import-friendly and well worth pursuing.

Slashkice

Compared to all the other DJ max titles this is easily the worst (a mix-up of DJMP 1 and 2, but with autocorrect and a few glitches) and has the least amount of content

DJ max clazziquai is probably the best one for the psp (both clazziquai and black square are in english)

To say that this game is one of the best psp games period is really a slap in the face to anyone that's ever actually played the other 4 dj max psp games

This thread immediatly reminded me of a game i completetly forgot about and never got around to playing, but now i plan on it very soon

and that game is ...

Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa

...starring the lovable ex-NBA star, charles barkely in an corny old-schoolish turn based rpg, fan made for the pc

and from what i hear and the handful of user reviews, it seems to be a pretty high quality game

download link if interested, i think im gonna have to start it tonight. :P

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy

I know it's a last gen game, but this wasn't even noticed that well even then. And I really don't see why. This game is just fantastic with platforming and Zelda-esque gameplay. This game did FAR worse than Okami in terms of sales.

I really wish there was a Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy 2.

Title: MechWarrior Reboot or referred to as MechWarrior 5.

Platforms: PC/Xbox 360.

Genre: simulator

still in development/TBA. it's a long-running series, but it's been 8 years since the last game, so it's fallen off the map.

I got that at launch too and I thought it was awful, didn't they make a sequel?

But yeah it was very unique.

Zeno Clash

1

In the easiest way to put it, it's Serious Sam meets unarmed combat, beautiful visuals as well. :)

Eufloria

2

Tree RTS? Sure looks like it, but in fact it's quite an enjoyable game and its minimalistic approach is sure to delight gamers looking for a relaxed experience.

Science Girls

3

An absurd RPG that doesn't take itself seriously, it uses a quirky combat system that allows all 6 girls to fight at the same time, while only controlling 3 of them at a time.

Lightening Force (aka Thunder Force IV) - a SHMUP for the Sega Genesis. You control a ship, get various powerups along the way, some pew pew, cheap deaths which cause indescribable amounts of rage, etc. Good times.

Dishwasher Dead Samurai & its upcoming sequal, Dishwasher Vampire Smile:

Looks much better in motion.

Vampire Smile trailer at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYwesyxvF5k

Also, I've only recently found Ikaruga, & I don't hear about it much:

Took me ages to beat the demo on hard, but it was so much fun, addictive & rewarding, & its the next game on my list, after Psychonauts.

This thread title sounds a bit dirty >_>

*ahem*

Anyway, some of mine to add:

Phantom Dust (Xbox) - Essentially a full 3D "fighting game" that uses "trading card game" elements to determine the moves you wield in battle. It's extremely cheap to purchase it, and the multiplayer is downright amazing. On top of that, it has a fairly lengthy single player campaign with a surprisingly great (and depressing) story.

Breakdown (Xbox) - A first person shooter with a big focus on melee (yes thats right, Condemned was not the first game to do that). Breakdown is entirely single player, developed by Namco (or published. One of the two). The game is relatively long, lasting around 15 to 20 hours. There's a pretty big arsenal of melee and energy moves as well as other defensive and acrobatic moves the player can perform. There are also pretty much no cutscenes. Everything is seen through the eyes of the protagonist, Derrick Cole. Now, the writing is just horrible. However, the actors are amazing. So amazing, in fact, they somehow make the dialogue enjoyable. That's impressive. The story is pretty good too, but the game's strongest points are how immersive and unique it is.

Killer7 (Gamecube) - This is the game that most people who talk about Suda 51 know him for. Created with him and Mikami, Killer7 blends horror with action and pure insanity. The result is a highly engaging game that at times is completely absurd and at other times totally relatable. In the end, though, it tells a meaningful story that really does bring out some emotions in the player. At the end of it all, it's hard not to at least feel some kind of emotion for the plight of Garcian Smith. Plus, few games have spawned as many theories about the storyline (just a single game though, so Zelda doesn't count) as Killer7 has.

Two of the most unique games ever made, there´s nothing else like them.

Almost no one knows about this devs,Léxis Numérique, but they have one thing that very few have, and that is,of course, originality.

The world ends with you, an amazing game that takes all the conventions established in JRPGs and chucks that down the toilet. throws a lot of ideas at the wall that players are suprised to find stick. horribly underappretiated and criminaly undersold.

...

......

This was a very good game on the SNES, If you like Zelda, then you would probably like this game. You go through 8 dungeons overall in the game, and recah these dungeons via an overworld map, where you can also fight giant bats or trolls toregain "life" or "magic."

This game is similar Zelda since to progress through dungeons you need to find keys to reach new areas (each key being a different color and can only be used on gates of the same color), and you can also find a new weapon and new spell in each dungeon; it isn't required to progress, but it definitely helps for combat. Also like Zelda, there are many puzzles and traps to work with that you need to solve in order to further navigate dungeons, and many puzzles even become like optical illusions, things will seem farther away from other obstacles than they really are. In order to face the boss of each dungeon, you need to collect 12 purple orbs; you can enter the room of boss whenever you like, it just won't do you any good without first gaining the dungeon's 12 orbs.

One things about this game is, there is no health, one hit from enemies or one touch of spikes, you die and lose a life; the life bar isn't a health bar, and just shows how many lives you have left. So this game certainly offers challenge, and you gotta stay on your toes during boss fights, because if you die, you gotta start the whole boss fight from the start! Once you beat a boss, you get extra life and magic, and the boss's spirit will stop blocking your way on a bridge, meaning you can advance to the next dungeon.

Story is simple, just trying to save some old dude who was either your father, garndfather, mentor, I forget >_>, from an evil witch who studied under said old dude. Music in this game is all about ambiance, with the exception of the boss battle theme and part of the water dungeon music.

This is a very goood game that I would recommend.

The Guilty Gear Series

A fast paced 2D fighter made by ArcSys, before Blazbue took of. Probably the best 2D fighting series I've ever played. It's got an awesome soundtrack, cool character designs, and lots of modes for you to play with. I reccomened # Reload myself, which was on the Xbox. It's also available as an Xbox Original. If that doesn;t work, Accent Core Plus is also amazing.

Armored Core

One of the coolest mech games around, Armored Core gives you tons of customization, a grand story mode, and 3 even introduced co-op.If you want a next gen AC, AC For Answer is also good, as is Armored Core 2: Another Age (PS2).

Amplitude

Before Harmonix would go onto make Guitar Hero and Rock Band, they made Amplitude. You control a ship as it tries to activate up to six tracks (vocals, percussion, etc). If you hit a certian number of notes on that track, it will lock for a while and play automatically. It's a great little game, and it is extremely unique. It's prequel, Frequency, is also awesome.

Rockstar Table Tennis (360; the Wii version apparently sucks):

http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2006/05/rockstar-table-tennis.jpg

Quite simply, the most fun two people can have with their pants on. If you thought Wii Sports and Guitar Hero made great party games, wait until you pop this one in (especially after a couple of beverages).

Patapon/Patapon 2 (PSP)

http://techh2o.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/patapon.jpg

Not only the two best games on the PSP, but two of the best games in recent memory. Great quirky and surprisingly deep gameplay; superb art-s tyle and music; and tons of value at $20 a pop. If you don't find yourself chanting "pata-pata-pata-pon" after playing, you have no soul.

Audiosurf (PC)

http://quaedam.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/audiosurf1small1.jpg

How's this for value: a $10 game that that'll turn any song you throw at it into a level. Oh, and it has multiple gameplay modes. Rather than have me fail miserably at attempting to describe just how awesome Audiosurf is, go do yourself a favour and download the demo off Steam (if your PC can't run it, you seriously need a new PC).

Deus Ex (PC)

http://bulk2.destructoid.com/ul/user/4/47782-152954-DeusEx1jpeg-noscale.jpg

Allright, so most people around here have heard of Deus Ex. What they may not have heard is that it's currently selling for the grand total of $2.50 on Steam. If you haven't experienced one of the best games of all time yet, cheap out on lunch tomorrow and buy it (if your PC can't run it: you have travelled through time from 1998 and have much bigger things to worry about).

Torchlight (PC)

Sure it's a shameless Diablo rip-off, but that's precisely the point. And it's on sale seemingly every other week for $5. If that doesn't have you convinced: your in-game pet cat can summon an undead army (if your PC can't run it: you're part of the problem).

Both Dragon Quest III+VI are both excellent story-driven JRPGs with a deep job system (a given to most Dragon Quest games) and even though they weren't successful in the West (the West never saw the release of DQ6) the Dragon Quest series has a massive following in Japan.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 on the other hand was a Pokemon s.tyle JRPG with a deep leveling system, a large variety of monsters to tame and a story that is reminiscent of previous Dragon Quest games but is still very easy for a newcomer to understand.
