As long as compatibility is patched in at a later date. Shame I'll be stuck with the shitty looking pack in headset for the time being. That thing looks flimsy as ****.

This is pretty disappointing for me. I dropped over 100 bucks on that pulse headset which I LOVE. That headset is pure perfection in my book. I really hope they patch soon. Im not too concerned with voice chat since I play most multiplayer games on Xbox and PC. But just to have sound would be great.

Sony PS4. It only does Everything. Seriously though, this is disappointing. Sony is definitely succeeding in making consumers respend every dollar they have.

Still don't understand why they can't stick in a pair of 3.5mm jacks so real headphones and mics will work.

It means they didn't implement USB/BT audio support and relay on new controller audio system.... which really does not matter as everybody will get headset :p

@kraken2109: Controller will have jack, quastion if it gonna be compatible, it might not support stereo+mic from mobile phones. Either way i bet there will be 3rd party converters as this is analog audio

They're planning on updating the PS4 to allow use of the Pulse post launch. "An update will also provide compatibility for Sony's branded PULSE headsets, the company adds."

Actually the XOne comes with a headset, the PS4 comes with a flimsy earpiece LOL

Considering that every PS4 is launching with a really basic wired headset, I don't think it matters.

The Astro A50's I love so very much are supported for the PS4, but it looks like chat will take a while to work with the Xbox One. I presume the A40s will also work, since they use similar technology, but that's just a guess.

The PS4 actually has bluetooth support, unlike xbone, so whats the problem again? As for USB headsets, I'm guessing sony needs to update the PS4 with a universal driver. Yup a USB/bluetooth headset, something that will never work the xbox. The xbox really is the most useless console ever made... feel bad for anyone buying one.

I could have sworn Sony said all their previous headsets for PS3 would be B/C on the PS4.

Now reading this article, it looks like only the Turtle Beach headset will be B/C or at these the new PS4 headsets?

The XBox One come with an XB1 Headset. You know that right? It's not a flimsy ear bud one either.
