So for those still interested in Evolve, the Min and Req Specs have been revealed:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

INTEL CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600

AMD CPU: Athlon 64 X2 6400

SYSTEM RAM: 4GB

NVIDIA VIDEO CARD:GeForce GTX 560

ATI VIDEO CARD: Radeon HD 5770

VIDEO MEMORY: 1GB

HARD DRIVE: 50GB

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS:

INTEL CPU: Core i7-920

AMD CPU: A8-3870K

SYSTEM RAM: 6GB

NVIDIA VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTX 670 or GTX 760

ATI VIDEO CARD: Radeon R9 280

VIDEO MEMORY: 2GB

HARD DRIVE: 50GB

As well as a screenshot of graphics settings:

And for the very high end: 4k is supported, and they are working on SLI support

The reqs are pretty reasonable, although that's a lot of hard drive space

I guess my 670 will just keep on chugging

Looking at the Minimum, I think consoles will be able to run it :P

The beta ran like ass on my 670/2500k so hopefully the final product is more optimized. Doesn't really matter though since I wont be getting it, its a very shallow game considering the price. I was quite shocked at how quickly the game got boring in the beta.

I'd have taken l4d3 over this mediocrity any day.

gameplay was quite one sided, it needed alot of rebalancing. Wont touch it until steam sale ie 50% or more off

If the monster has any idea what he is doing, he'll just run in circles and feed until evolved to stage 3. This results in about 10 minutes of running around as the players, after which you will take part in a messy showdown with the monster which lasts about 2 minutes.

70 bucks on steam for this. I'd rather reinstall Natural Selection 2 or get back into L4D2 versus. I knew the 4v1 premise was trouble from the start. Coordinating attacks as the infected in L4D2 was SO much cooler than playing the monster in Evolve.

Not surprised I played it at 2560x1080 on high settings at 40-50FPS with a R9 270 with the Alpha.

Pretty modest requirements compared to a lot of other games these days. My only concern is with the 50gb hard drive space. Isn't this a multiplayer only game? How the hell does it take up that much space?

well titanfall asked for 50GB as well because it had like 30+GB of uncompressed audio

Finally reasonable and realistic requirements/recommends.. Ever since the "next gen" consoles were released, all of a sudden many of these devs have been releasing down right silly requirements/recommends for the kinds of visuals the game has..

If survivors had any idea what they're doing they would outrun the unspawned infected.

I played the alpha...I think fans of this developer and fans of L4D will be in good hands.

Due to the online nature of the title, I'm probably not going to pay full price for this game...but I will definitely be buying this game.

Rushing ruined most L4D2 online matches. Doesn't seem like that will be possible in Evolve, so I guess I'll have fun with the game (plus, my toaster can actually run this).

Why post requirements in system wars? Especially modest specs like these. Seriously a potato can run this game. :P

Tell me about it, game didn't run that good on my 670/4770k also. Only played it twice before uninstalling the beta, it got boring. I rather have another Left 4 Dead.

At 1050mhz like your sig says, you pretty much have a R9 270x.
I've got two 7870 OC Editions, which are basically R9 270x's. Just one card was running tomb raider 2013 on normal (graphic settings) @5760x1080 and keeping 30 fps.
Just to give you an idea of what it's capable of. But ever since I got my 970, those cards are sitting in the box. :P I plan to put them in another rig soon.

Versus was inherently balanced since both teams had a turn attacking/defending. Rushing was annoying but could be dealt with if you knew it was coming.

Given the size of the maps its pretty easy for the monster to keep far enough away from the survivors to avoid traps. There is also inherently less depth in a team of one since there is no coordination required so playing at the monster in Evolve will never be as satisfying as playing a good infected team in L4D.

So since both teams take turns abusing broken mechanics and make the game a frustrating shitfest for each other, it's balanced.

Uh-huh, gotcha.

Or maybe the roles are flipped in Evolve and it's Hunters that play like Infected, requiring coordination?

Too hard of a concept to grasp, eh?

I don't see you, or anyone, singing praise to how awesome and rewarding playing survivors was in L4D.

Because it was shit.

Playing monster in Evolve is actually fun, for one.

There're very few games out there, actually, that don't force you to rely on your, more often than not, imbecile teammates.

Letting me solo that shit up when my friends are not online is a good option to have, i don't see how anyone doesn't realize this.

Everything seems fair except for that HDD space requirement, there better be several maps or at least very huge ones
