Getting a RE4 vibe from the trailer which is a good thing imo. Would like to see some uncut gameplay. I'm not a graphics whore but the game looks like it could run on PS3. :/ Oh well.
Btw, those little robots a the end are scarier than the freakin' trailer. XD :P
Honestly I didn't see anything in there that last gen consoles wouldn't have a problem doing. This thing will be 1080p @ 60fps for both PS4 and the bone with no downgrades. Sorry no ownage awarded for this submission.

They kind of did, actually. Sweet Home and War of the Dead came years before that. But Alone in the Dark was the first 3D horror game, so the French deserve some credit too. The original Resident Evil was essentially Sweet Home meets Alone in the Dark, along with some other influences like Doctor Hauzer (an obscure stepping stone between AITD and RE) and of course George Romero movies.
id Tech 5, the latest engine from id Software, in turn owned by ZeniMax Media, the same company that owns Tango Gameworks. id Tech 5 was previously used for Rage, and will be used for the upcoming Doom 4 and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

It's also being released for the PS3, the platform I believe it was originally planned for. For proper next-gen graphics, the game would need to be designed for next-gen systems in mind.

The graphics are pretty shitty. All the screenshots they released too left a LOT to be desired. i'm hoping they do a decent job on the PC port controls wise, though I'd likely play with a controller anyway
Psycho Break is its Japanese name I think. Like the way Resident Evil is Biohazard in Japan

This game is being made by the guy who made the legendary RE4 and the hardcore Vanquish. Way better games than the western junk we have nowadays. Evil Within will be a true survival horror game ^
Are you guys fucking serious? How could you talk smack about this game? It looks phenomenal and scary as hell IMO (I hope this puts Amnesia and Outlast to shame). Yeah so what if the graphics don't look all that pretty, the dev himself said you don't need great graphics to make a good horror game. I am so excited for Evil Within I can't wait to see more on it. Just looking at some of the enemy models gave me Goosebumps (Just look at the multi-armed girl who runs upside down at you).
The Father of horror games has returned (maker of Resident Evil) to bring us what looks to be (arguably) one of the scariest games of all time. What could possibly go wrong? I guess gamers are so unappreciative these days *sigh*
