Nintendo announced the NX a month ago as their new next generation dedicated games platform, although they neglected to offer any more information about it, saying only that we will be getting more next year. Speculation has run rampant about just what NX might be, with theories ranging from a traditional successor to the Wii U, a traditional successor to the 3DS, a hybrid consolidating the home console and handheld lines, and just a brand new service that foregoes hardware entirely.
Now, a new listing on a Nintendo engineer's LinkedIn page seems to indicate that NX is going to be hardware, after all- and that it is not one new system, but more than that. At least two. Maybe more.
The nature of the listing is curious, too, and it seems to verify everything that Nintendo has claimed about the new system so far- that it will allow for streamlined development across multiple form factors, thanks to consolidated development tools and pipelines.
Check out the dude's listing here for yourself.
What do you think? What will the NX ultimately be?
