These fellas are not making it easy for people to like them.

Nothing shocks me about EA anymore. Everytime I hear them mentioned, it's some shitty new attempt at screwing us over. I'm glad I don't support these morons.

#5 Posted by Cloud_imperium (2964 posts) -

At least they didn't charge 30$

I think it's time to uninstall origin. Should of done that years ago in fact.

It's like they WANT to go down gamers' shit lists.

It's funny... I remember a time when EA was better received than Activision, now they are worse than ever.

#13 Posted by lglz1337 (3449 posts) -

you mean MS and EA together in bed TC!

#14 Posted by Alcapello (893 posts) -

Should be a perfect opportunity to induce discipline among the youngstars.

Want to play demo? Save 5 dollar.

Now this, this is legendary

#17 Posted by k2theswiss (16599 posts) -

@LegatoSkyheart: seems very ea like and no other demos cost.

Bet they just wanted see how it goes. If they could get away with it

wouldn't doubt it.

And they will continue to do it too because there are actually people out there that will pay it. Like PSN and XBL subscriptions, If no one paid then it would be free.

I'm sure it was an "error". Man, fuck EA.

#24 Edited by clyde46 (46027 posts) -

I wonder how many times EA is going to make that "error".

#25 Posted by R4gn4r0k (16463 posts) -

I'm sure they'll apologize and everything will be a-ok again (or at least that is what EA thinks)

Like they have done for BF4 and Dungeon Keeper...

#26 Posted by CrownKingArthur (4687 posts) -

i'll take eight

#27 Posted by farrell2k (5860 posts) -

So, then don't pay for it. EA will get the message.

#28 Posted by R4gn4r0k (16463 posts) -

So when is EA going to start charging for reloading your gun in an online shooter ?

They said they would. I'm still waiting :(

I think that too.

This isn't something we can point fingers at EA for.

Sony complimented it PS1 with a demo full of wonderful games, some of which I thoroughly enjoy personally, btw.

However, when did this trend stop? Well, the answer is not when Sega exited. I'll just leave you with that....

EA has no limits

Oh, EA. Sigh.

I'm pretty sure it's an actual error though. Even they aren't that dumb. It would be insane for them to be giving free games every month only to start charging for demos.

When developers who made shit games lost sales because of shit demos.

#35 Posted by SambaLele (5351 posts) -

No. EA crossed another line. And there'll be enough people to buy into this and let yet another abusive business practice become norm... Hope I'm wrong.

#36 Posted by Desmonic (13767 posts) -

..... f*cking hell EA....

Sure, it definitely did shift some gears of war.

Heh yeah, early last gen if I recall correctly.

Now it seems Activision is a bit cooler (for the time being).

What developer releases demos now? Monetizing them makes perfect sense when you consider how they most usually turn people off from buying.

Don't complain. This is an easier, cheaper way than buying the full game and finding out you don't like it.

This thread feels like a dumb knee jerk reaction. Lets not think about anything, lets just assume they are trying to screw us over. The UFC demo has been out for a couple weeks now, why would they charge for that now?

Pretty much, I mean EA is scum, but this reaction is stupid.

Problem is, muppets WILL pay for it. :(

What are you doing? That's too simple and logical.
