EA Announces Date For E3 2014 Press Conference

Electronic Arts has confirmed the time and date of its E3 2014 press conference.

The publisher told IGN that it's to host its annual E3 showcase at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9 2014. The EA press conference will begin at 1pm PT (9pm UK).

Traditionally, EA, MicrosoftSony and Ubisoft all hold their E3 press conferences on the same day.

At last year's EA press conference the company revealed a number of new games including DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront and Mirror's Edge 2, and PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. EA also showed offTitanfall, Need for Speed Rivals, Dragon Age: Inquisition and its line-up of next-gen sports games being built with the new Ignite engine.

Event organiser the Entertainment Software Association said E3 2013 drew a record number of attendees.

So it sounds like EA is the first to announce theirs this year; judging by precedence, June 9 is when Sony, Microsoft and Ubisoft will have theirs as well, with Nintendo having theirs on June 10. Hoping for official announcements soon.

Is Nintendo going to have an E3 conference this time or are they doing a direct?

Most likely; they don't sit out on E3s usually, their stated reason for sitting it out last year was that they couldn't compete with two new hardware launches so they didn't see the point.

I guess that makes sense. Granted the revealing of Smash 4 caused a stir, it was never going to get the same attention two new consoles were going to get.

I wonder if EA will address being nominated as the worst company. Didn't they get it again this year?

EA was out in the first round, they won't be getting the price this year.

What I want from them is gameplay for Star Wars: Battlefront, a look at some other Star Wars projects, a release date for Dragon Age Inquisition, and news on Mass Effect 4.

It'll probably depend on how well they felt there "Direct" approach worked. I hope they do have one, I missed not seeing Reggie up on stage last year, but they need to go all out this time, I know we said this last year too, but it really does feel like this is Nintendo's last shot.

Looking forward to seeing progress of last years E3 announced games and reveals of new games.
