Dragons Dogma sequel + Rival Schools 3 + DMC5 "Teased"

Dragon’s Dogma Game Director Hideaki Itsuno has quite a few ideas for the future, not only for the Dragon’s Dogma franchise but also for a few other beloved Capcom IPs, as he mentioned in a recent interview on the Japanese Play Community website when asked about the possibility of a direct sequel to his latest game.

"In my head, I have a story and setting for the next one, but it’s not one that can be easily done… (laughs). For example, voices say “coming for PS4!” and it seems to happen quite a whole lot. The possibility to be able to make it might to be growing (laughs).

In addition to that, I want to also make a miniature garden simulation, as well as make more games for (established) series such as “Rival Schools 3” and “Devil May Cry 5.” Later on, I would even like to make a game that captures authentic fighting and, such as Street Fighter II did, to develop a new genre of fighting games.
Inside of me there are a lot of things I want to make, and because there are already concepts, there might be a chance! I have this feeling (laughs)."

One of the small list of things Capcom got right this gen, and would gladly spend my money on it, DD was one of the best gems to come out of this gen for me and I can not wait to see DD sequel.

Rival Schools 3 Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng, have been waiting for this IP to make a return for so long, Capcom do fighters like no one else so if it happens I'll be very hopeful.

I don't know how I feel about another Dragon's Dogma. The combat was great but everything else was just bleh. It was ugly, the story was boring, and I couldn't care less about any of the characters.

@Xaero_Gravity: It wasn't perfect I agree, but I really loved some aspects like the combat/spells/difficulty.

If Itsuno can polish it up game would be so beast.

DMC5? Would this go back to the original Dante/Nero/Vergil storyline

Dragons Dogma was a big surprise. But my question is when they say DMC5. Which team do they mean?

Did you get to play Dark Arisen? If so, how was it?

Loved Dragons Dogma, easily one of the most underrated games this gen. As for possibly a new Rival School, my body is ready.

@Xaero_Gravity: I personally loved it, few things were a miss but overall it was a wonderful surprise.

I won't be buying anything with the Capcom logo on it until they've truly impressed me again. I haven't felt the $60 price of their games has been worth it since RE5.

Loved Dragon's Dogma, easily one of my favourite games of the gen and i dare say it, i'd buy one of the next gen consoles just for a sequel (if they remake the terrible decision not to port it to PC).

Dragon Dogma sequel should be great. Add co op and bigger world with variety in weather.

Meh, I couldn't really get into Dragon's Dogma. If they added in online co-op, now that would make it fun.

well, if there's a DMC5 I hope they finally make it with Dante as a protagonist. The poor guy hasn't starred in his own series since DMC3. The game needs to be cheesy and over the top as fck.

When capcom goes back to their roots with pretty much all their god damn franchises they will be good again. DMC and Resident Evil especially.

Dragons Dogma is definately a game that needs to be on next generation consoles, along with all the improvements they can make to it. No need for over spending cinematics, just more polished gameplay, more enemies, more world to explore and even more combat combinations. Adding the possibility of an online component would also be great for longetivity of the game ALA Monster Hunter.

Rival Schools was a game that for some weird reason, went into hidding for so long and given my impressions with the new Killer Instinct, it definately has the potential to return as a great game, DMC on the other hand just needs more work on the combat aspects of the game as that was the bit hardcore players felt was lacking, also the pace of the combat needs to increase, other than that i see nothing else that needs to change, i enjoyed the rebooth very much

I liked DD. But I dislike Capcom. Also DD isn't on PC yet. Also DD's sequel probably won't be on PC either.

Itsuno plz...stop being such a tease and just give us what we want. DMC5 to erase that awful reboot from our memories and DD2 for more cuhrazy in a high fantasy setting.

I'd be happy with either Devil May Cry 5 or DmC 2, i really resisted as much as i could the revamp, but it was an awesome take on the dmc universe, my only gripe is dante's looks, i mean, c'mon.

Dragons Dogma was great, shame about the story. I suppose their attitude was combat fist, graphics second, story third. But if the Dragons dogma sequel has the same if not better combat and a great story then I would be all over it. Please capcom get it right, we don't want a complete copy of the first one with no new content, we want it to have better graphics better story and better combat (if better combat is even possible).

Dragon's dogma was pretty sweet. I would love a second one... only thing i didn't like was the end game content... and the world was mostly empty of creatures to defeat. Most of the enemies where just re-skinned with different color palette. But over all the game itself felt like it was an experiment.. if they put a bit more effort into it i'm sure it'll be a really awesome game.

That would be amazing.
