Dragon Quest Builders announced (PS4,Vita,PS3)

Square Enix have announced Dragon Quest Builders a whole new RPG that is similar to...Minecraft

Square Enix announced today with a press release Dragon Quest Builders: Alefgard o Fukkatsu Seyo, that will be released this winter in Japan for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

The genre is exactly what you can imagine by looking at the first screenshot below. It’s defined as a “Block Building RPG.”

The story is set in the continent of Alefgard (the original Dragon Quest setting), that has been devastated by the Dragon King, and the goal of the game is to recapture the land from the evil villain, also thanks to the freedom to build.

Gotta say i'll keep an eye on and see how it turn out but not that interested yet

Hopefully this isn't considered Dragon Quest XI.

Looks nice. Really nice, I hope there's at least some sort of story, or campaign here to justify a purchase from me. Otherwise, no.

Me? Im Always interested in a JRPG especially a game from Square Enix and Dragon Quest at that but i sold my 3DS and have zero interest in buying another.

Absolutely! As Heil68 always says it needs to be a generation leader to receive even the slightest amount of interest.

On a serious note its always about what you use the most, while i enjoyed owning the 3DS i was playing a lot of PS4 and Vita so much that my 3DS was collecting dust and since my 3DS XL was still new and shiny ( literally all i played on it was pokemon X) so my brother wanted it and just decided it to buy it off me ($150).

I'm intrigued by this.. Minecraft with a Dragon Quest theme.

I'll stick to Minecraft.

Hopefully there will be no microtransactions and a physical release.

Minecraft began as essentially an infiniminer ripoff. But it eventually expanded far beyond infiniminer.

And both of those games were inspired by Dwarf Fortress, which in turn was inspired by Dungeon Keeper, a Peter Molyneux game.

Meh I think I'll pass. These games take too much time and a bunch of imagination that I don't have.

Sooooo..... Minecraft with a Dragon Quest skin?...I have a feeling that was already a thing somehow :P

If all the buzz about kids in Japan being hooked on minecraft is true, then this might actually give the Vita an actual second life in Japan.
