Dragon Age Inquisition: overrated, underrated, or just right?

I'd personally say just right, there was a lot of stupid stuff in the game, but I still really enjoyed it, though it probably should have gotten an 8 here.

Combat becomes a chore early on and a lot of the areas in the game aren't visually interesting.

Side quests are hit and miss, but the lore is great.

I quit playing when I realized they removed the radial action menu. WTF Nightmare difficulty and tactics are what made the first two fun for me. Auto casting is retarded and boring.

I'm getting the oddest feeling that my plan to play this towards the end of summer (after finishing W3, then BB) might be a mistake...

Overrated trash. Repetitive side quests and material gathering. Tedious grinding and fights become boring because of a lack of variety in attacks and spells. 3 stars out of 5. Decent game. Nothing else.

Very good, and worth playing through. The only other one I played was the original, and the combat in Inquisition was a lot more fun. The side quests I did were surprisingly satisfying, but I didn't bother with the ones where you have to fetch many pieces of a specific kind of material.

And remember like you guys tore me apart for ranting about it. I was the first to call it a single player MMO here. Oh look how tables turned

Good, maybe even great. 1000x better than DA2. Not GOTY though, and even if it was, last year was shit so that wouldn't even say much.

Too many bugs and stupid design choices bring it down from being the classic it could have been.

I haven't beaten the game yet but I've got about 30 hours logged. It's a fun game, has its problems, but I certainly prefer it to the first two.

Nothing wrong with criticizing Inquisition. However, most of your complaints were just...lame.

Dragon age was awesome. Deserves ever GOTY it got and then some. Engaging, improved and robust. It was An outstanding game. I haven't played the Witcher as of yet, but I'm not buying that it's so vastly better. It may in fact be better, but no way it's by a measurable distance.

I really liked Inquisition, but the stuff CDprojeckt is doing with Witcher 3 is simply a lot more impressive.

Eh I think its good, so I think its rating is just right. I had fun with it and think its as good as the first in different ways.

@magicalclick: you said it. DA 2 pissed me off so bad that it ruined the series for me. Maybe one day I will give Inquisition a chance. Not today though.

Jeez, I just picked this up, I wish people had better things to say. Frankly I didn't even like the first game and gave up on it early but I've decided to give the series another chance with Inquisition. I hope people are just being snobby, or maybe embellishing on account of how good The Witcher 3 is.

These are the words that come to mind when I think about this game. I'm practically near the end, but I gave up because I don't want to grind for more power to go to the last area.

its a 8/10 game at best. nowhere near goty material. I have never played an rpg where 100% of the side quests are as bad (or worst) than they're in generic mmo's. If this game had quality side stuff like TW3, then i'd be a great title worth praising.

Divinity: Original Sin is much better RPG.

Overrated, it has the words "Dragon Age" in the title, that's a celebration of shit. And I'm not even shitting on just Dragon Age 2, you like Dragon Age 1? You like shitty shallow games made for children who think they know what crpgs are.

Great game with fantastic environment visuals, lousy main plot and too much filler content (shards wtf).

I quit Inquisition after an hour. It was a rebound great game. Last year was neck deep with disappointments that we took what was left and considered it good.

The Witcher 3 is better but Inquisition is a good game.

I'd say overrated. It is excellent, but the simple, repetitive quests with mmo gameplay overstay their welcome eventually. It's definitely far too long for it's own good.

After playing TW3, I cannot even bring myself to boot this game.

Its a great game. I love that I don't have this internal compulsion to compare games. I seem to enjoy more this way.
