Well I guess it makes sense on the PS4. Even if MS didn't have a partnership with EA, the DLC will probably get eclipsed by the release of Bloodborne since Sony is pushing that heavily. And it only says Xbox One and PC, so does that mean EA isn't releasing on Xbox 360 early as well? That seems odd.
Timed Exclusive DLC is a concept I'll never understand. Games sure, but don't you run a high risk of poor word-of-mouth causing others not to buy it when it's released on the other consoles if it's not worth the value?
Looks interesting, but really they need to flesh the story out more...it was lacking.
Who knows, maybe an expansion to DAI would be a "Mask Of the Betrayer" great. We all know that expansion is better than the base NWN2.
Surprising. I have a long ways to go in the main game so I wouldn't be purchasing this anyways (I have the PS4 version) but that's cool that they're releasing it so quickly. Hopefully it's good.
I still need to get out of the Hinterlands XD
@texasgoldrush: I doubt Bioware could ever write something like Mask of the Betrayer, even back when they had talented people working for them.

But than Obsidian has been more inconsistent writing wise...they do have dreck such as Alpha Protocol and Dungeon Siege III, Nevermind NWN2's vanilla story isn't all that great.
And Bioware are now better character writers than Obsidian.
@mems_1224: post impressions... I shelved the game, post main story to save a big chunk for the dlc.... So happy to get back into this game.
So far it seems like more Dragon Age which is good or bad depending on how much more you want. Its a new area that looks really nice. Standard rifts, shards and constellation puzzles scattered about. It seems like a dlc for people in the late game, all the enemies are around level 24 in my game. I've only played for an hour or so trying to explore the map. Ill play more tonight.
Sort of sucks that this DLC isn't on the PS4 yet, but maybe that's a good thing. I'm in the process of trying to finish up my nightmare play though. This would just distract me.
lmao i hope nobody bought this on PS4
EA and microsoft team up u should always buy games on xbox or pc
its all about origins and connections
EA hates sony 2015 were ognna get the stuff way before sony ponies touch this content and they will have pay the same price usually its just we gotta do it all before them

will you just pick a side and stick with it
Its basically an all new region with a bigger story behind it.
One good thing about DAI's quest design is that you get quests for areas you have not explored yet, so you are doing quests while exploring at the same time. I am finding that a lot here. And it makes it less tedious.

Alpha Protocol's story was a hell lot more intriguing than Mass Effect's.
intriguing for people who like shallow themes, one dimensional characters, and by the numbers plots. That's Alpha Protocol in a nutshell
Playing through it.....this DLC is okay. All it is was more DAI, nothing really new.
The new map is balanced like the Hinterlands, not as focused as something like Emprise Du Lion.
The story is alright and it has its moments, but it isn't essential.
However the dragon fight is simply just like the others, a let down.
I still have to finish the main game but i'm guessing this is an expansion of sorts? considering the $15 pricetag.
kind of....its really just another quest map....one of the best ones, but its all it is. Its just like exploring any other region in the game. Its a good 5 hours to do everything.
Be aware that its 20+ in level and that it now has the strongest dragon.
@texasgoldrush: every dragon fight I was in was super fun. Why were you let down?
There was no variety in the battles all that changed was the elemental weakness and elemental type the dragon uses, It becomes really tedious not to mention the drops are crap

only the drops are crap if you completely out level them, they drop very good crafting items and good armor. But the dragon fights are indeed samey.
@musalala: @texasgoldrush: I really enjoyed the Dragon fights I lived using the tactical camera setting up my mages and using my tanks as distractions.... The loot wasn't super great in the game throughout, but I enjoyed the approach that creating your own weapons was emphasized, and I took advantage of it.
Honestly guys, every game has a series of things we could nitpick, but dragon age inquisition delivered on so many fronts.... Its one of those games that every time I see a new GOTY award for it I think, yep they got it right.
