Does Sony have bad luck with co-marketing deals?

nope, these games sell no matter the reviews.

All of those games sell tens of millions of copies. Don't see the problem.

There are a very limited number of games on consoles and you're pretty much guaranteed that certain franchises/games will sell boatloads.

I'm not the only one that notices this. A lot of the big games sony has been involved with in terms of co-marketing in the last year or two usually have gotten good or okay reception from critics. Some games have broken this trend and gotten a great reception, but not superb scores like COD BO3 and MGS5.Usually the big games sony is involved with in terms of co-marketing end up selling well despite their overall reception.

As long as Sony is making their money i dont think they really care. I wont be buying not one game on the list. I was thinking about getting CoD Black Ops III, but my plate is full with Xenoblade X coming.

For those saying it doesnt matter, these games will sell...they better, cause they cost a freaking fortune in development and marketing. They better sell like lemonade on a hot summer July.

@sovkhan: I dont think they will sell as good as people think. I think they will sell solid though. Battlefront should sell good, they were smart to cater to kids and remove the voice chat, it will help them sell more copies.

Someone forgot about the disaster that AC Unity was last year with MS supporting it.

Also outside your little bubble called system wars, all these games have had great reception among gamers in general. look at the commercial success each of the game mentioned in the OP received.

@sovkhan: True, but at what cost, do you know how much these games cost? The amount of money spent on advertising them is insane. Sony needs these things to sell and push consoles like a beast with how much they have spent on them.

Hey if Sony wants to pay millions for mediocrity then why should I care. Plus people buy the games regardless.

Except from the part where Sony have put out a lot more quality games than Microsoft.

Batman is 87 on Metacritic on ps4.

Sony doesn't care what the average review score of games are, that's pointless and only guys in here care about that. A game can average a 2 but if it sells 10 million copies then Sony win's big on that game. Game scores use to be something gamers went to see if a game is worth their time but nowadays game scores is nothing more than just ammo for fanboys to use to say a game is a flop cause it got an 8 instead of a 9 lol.

Those are blockbuster franchises, although they are not necessarily critical darlings, they are loved by millions of gamers.
