Does Sony brand make everything better?

Like for example, would Viva Pinata have gotten 9.0+ instead of 8.3/10 if it were released on a Sony console? Obviously this doesn't apply to current situation as even most beloved Nintendo franchises aren't untouchable anymore, but do you think that at the beginning and towards the middle of last gen there were some reservations for Xbox 360 games and at the same time some less than stellar Sony games were overrated just because they bore Sony brand to their names?

This thread stems not from the fact I believe in some wild conspiracy theories - I DON'T...But from the fact that some people here hype for example Little Big Planet 3 to high heavens as if only Sony had the monopoly for colourful creative games. It doesn't - deal with it.

It would be funny to see cows hype LBP as a top tier platformer again. I still remember some of them trying to make direct comparisons to SMG2, that shit was hilarious.

As for the topic in general, I dunno. I do remember a time when it seemed like Sony brand made everything worse. They couldn't catch a break and it seemed like the industry was just shitting all over them.

LBP had a complex creation tool kit that gave to it thousands of replayability. Viva Pinata didnt. Case closed. Dont be mad LBP > Viva Pinata. Just accept it ;D

I don't know. I tried LBP when it was a download with Plus, and I didn't really care for it. Needless to say, not caring about 3.

Sony makes fantastic products across all of their product lines. Their cameras, phones, TV's etc. are very well made. What you are talking about is hype. It is a well known thing that SW has a few more cows than lems, sheep or hermits. Sony makes a very impressive product, but some things, are just simply the hype machine getting a little to put of hand

TC, People hype almost every game here to high heaven. The fact that you only seem to notice and get bothered by hype for Sony games shows your bias, not Gamespot's.

Well, it's a well repeated thing anyhow. After my time in SW I've certainly watched different factions swell and shrink and swell again, but when we actually poll people about their systems, PC consistently wins. Always made sense to me since we have pretty dedicated gamers here, and most PC gamers often grab a console or three as well.

probably... Sumo digital doesn't exactly have the best of track records. They'll probably play it safe producing a game that is still enjoyable for the fans, but not up to par with the rest of the series. Much like how Batman Arkham Origins ended up.

At least that's my prediction.

Well all I can say is I replaced my. S5 work. Z2 recently and I'm not regretting it at all one of the best phones which I owned so far.

I thought their E3 bit was the most fun, none of the usual staged footage like all the other gameplay at the conference so i'll pick it up. I'm just waiting for Steven Fry to narrate it and they've got my preorder down.

Too bad LBP is a God awful platformer. Kinda hard to want to replay a game that controls so bad.

The game controls perfectly fine. You have complete control over your character. There is no problem.

You're bitching about the physics. Which are designed that way to create more freedom in creating levels. And, IIRC, LBP2 has a slider that turns the game into a much tighter experience akin to Mario or something of the like.

Barely had any problem with the controls. It may not be among the "most hardcore" platformers out there but it sure isnt a bad one. All the games were of high quality - LBP1 has a 95 on meta and LBP2 a 91. yeah, such bad games...

Lol no. In general sites don't give a higher rating to games just because its sony. However there are a few sony fansites that count towards MC and GR scores that tend to rate games higher then the average. But on GS and IGN and such, I don't feel there is any bias towards Sony or MS
