Is more of the same acceptable or do you want something significantly iterative with the upcoming Darksouls 3?
Personally, I have an opinion.

The combat is great, but I'd like to see big changes
Ability to grab ledges and climb up
Hit boxes that are reasonable
Ability to climb or jump while stationary
Fewer underground dard drabby places, more open epic set pieces.
Fewer random locks, the spinning room and the burning windmill were moronic. There were way too many unpredictable random deaths with no cues.
Vampire special class character with fast paced combat like bloodborne or even faster. with more blood.
Lets call this Berserk mode. give it its own option on the main menu in the game. this mode is the same setting as main game but with new types of enemies that are fast like beasts and vampires. castlevania basically.
I think it does need a change, but I'm sure many would claim too much deviation from the formula might turn it into something else which imo needs to happen. I like sequels to adopt some of previous conventions of the predecessor but not the flagrant peacemeal imitation FROM (among many others) does with their games (even if enjoy them). You know you are lazy when the biggest mechanical difference (not setting/characters) between your games is the presence or absence of a hub world. Don't you just hate it when a studio stumbles upon a successful formula? It stifles creativity by causing complete reliance on said formula.
More combos and weapon that actually vary from one another for God's sake!
Other than that, the environment needs to be more interactive. That's all.
Absolutely. I am wondering if I'll ever finish DS2 much less buy DS3 at this point. Its lore and characters just don't interest me and its punishing.................whoop dee doo. Its old hat at this point.

See I don't think the combat is great. I think Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden have much better combat. But the encounters in DS are great because there is the risk of dying all the time. The combos and combat are Ok at best imo. Shit needs a shake up and soon imo.

Personally, nobody cares about your opinion.
I dont think they need to, just give us more epic Boss battles and ill will be happy. Maybe after this one they can mix it up and reboot the series.
Yes, I'm fucking tired of this formula at this point. Demon's Souls was a novelty, something fresh, something unique. Dark Souls was taking that unique thing and then Metroiding it up, doing it bigger and in some ways better (other ways not as much). It maintained the uniqueness and felt like a deserving sequel. Dark Souls 2 was more of the same shit, except they messed with shit under the hood. Plus the level design was garbage and it had a shit load of filler bosses that were a snorefest.
Bloodborne is the first big shift for the franchise, and instead of building on it, the very next game is go back to Dark Souls.
After Dark Souls 3 I want them to take a fucking break from these games. Do something new. Give me some successor to Otogi, do a Ninja Blade styled game but good this time. Do something with mechs again, Metal Wolf Chaos is great. Do another action game, do anything. Clearly people in that company can make good gameplay.
Da fuk? The Souls series is the one that has the most new additions and features per entry. Just look at what they're doing with the combat arts or whatever its called in DkS3.
Yes, Bloodborne was big disappointment for me. I'm getting tired of the combat, exploration, awful storytelling, and overly basic RPG elements.
I want Dark Souls 3 to be different. I want some new life in this series. Bloodborne sucked it all out.
After Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, even if there are a few changes, I'll probably wait to get Dark Souls 3 until it's 10 bucks. I feel kinda souled out ya know? Both those games took me over 50 hours to do a playthrough, and man were they grueling at times. The 2nd ones didn't do enough new things or have enough interesting environments.
what if,,,,,,,,,,, what if Dark Souls 3 was fully open world with its current combat system. How amazing would that be? Im perfectly fine with the Souls series to say as is but i'd looooooove to see an open world Souls game cuz they sure could make it look f*ckedup and interesting. I want to be lost in its world, BB was too linear.
