Do you REALLY think Tomb Raider will be better than U4?

I mean, Naughty Dog has one of the best track records of all of gaming. The Uncharted series was massively successful and then they went off and made The Last of Us. A game that is considered the game of the generation, last gen. Do you really think Tomb Raider really stands a chance?

The evolution of Tomb Raider was to become more like Uncharted. So at the moment Uncharted is the one leading the way not only for Tomb Raider but for most if not every game trying to be cinematic.

With Naughty Dog's resident hipster and sjw, Neil Druckman, and Bruce Straley working together again I don't think Uncharted will have a rival when it comes out next year. These are the 2 that made Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us possible and the fact that Tomb Raider it's basically a last gen game only hinder its possibilities. Although due to the fact that the assets of TB should be bound to the X360's capabilities it could help the Xbone version achieve better performance frame-rate wise, maybe a 60fps TB game?

No, but it'll still be a very good game.

Both will be amazing. No need to choose. Just buy them both.

Uncharted to me is just a very poor parkour simulator with terrible shooting mechanics so yes.

I saw the underwhelming Uncharted 4 trailer. Less color. More open world jungles. Rock climbing and rappelling from different hills and mountains. That's a blatant copy Tomb Raider '13 and I'm disappointed.

Both are kinda crappy games that rip off each other at different stages. Nothing there worth fighting over.

As Uncharted is my favorite series... no. I don't think it will be better. That said, I'm also heavily jaded at Square right now with their exclusivity bullshit, timed or not.

I'll buy the Uncharted 4 collector's edition and enjoy the hell out of it. If Tomb Raider 2 comes to PS4, I'll buy it used and more than likely enjoy the hell out of it. I really enjoyed the reboot and would have gladly bought a collector's edition of the second, but with Square's decision, I simply won't support them anymore.

Eh, maybe. I personally enjoyed Uncharted, but I had more fun with Tomb Raider. That being said, I thought The Last of Us put them both to shame.

Yes its very possible, any game can be better then another game. Naughty Dog are one the gems in the industry no doubt about it, they have pretty much succeeded on everything they tried. These games have a weird vibe to each other. One inspired the other somewhat and then the inspired one went on to inspire the reboot? I remember many of us were like wtf Naught Dog your going to do a dude raider game, those games have been crappy for years now please not a dude raider game. Boy did Uncharted series change that perception, pretty much took over the action adventure genre.

Yes, I think RoTR will be better than U4.

These will both be terrific movies either way.

TR is just riding of the success of Uncharted and taking alot of what Uncharted has done.

It depends. I went into TR Definitive on PS4 mildly curious thinking oh it's another Tomb Raider game and it completely blew me away, I loved it. It was much better than any of the UC games I played.

That doesn't necessarily mean ROTTR will be as good and we don't know how good UC4 will be either but if they have the same team that did the reboot working on the new one yes it's perfectly possible that the next TR will be better than UC4.

Sure, why not? It has potential to be better than Uncharted 4. Just like Uncharted 4 can potentially be better than Tomb Raider. Let's be honest, Uncharted isn't the greatest adventure franchise ever. Bad game? Hell no. But I'm gonna need you delusional cows to take it off the pedestal you guys have placed it on... just because it a Sony exclusive.

Also, I doubt Tomb Raider will remain exclusive anyway. I expect it to come to PS4 some time down the line. If not, I will be surprised.

I think the single player might be a tie but I think Uncharted will have more content (co-op/multiplayer). Unless Tomb Raider has a decent co-op mode, ill give the edge to Uncharted 4 with it most likely having more game modes.

Agreed. Bloodborne is the only interesting exclusive on PS4. My friend and I played through a good portion of Killzone Shadowfall and actually started laughing at how bad it was.

Quite possibly. Tomb Raider 2013 was definitely better than UC3 and UC has started to get a little old, so I'm definitely more excited for RotTR. But ND is a great developer so we'll see.

Nah. I think it will try more stuff like TR 2013 did compared to any Uncharted game, but wether it does what it does better is another story. The same people who did Uncharted 2 and The Last Of Us are developing UC4 so I have a hunch it will be better in one way or another. Not in every facet, but some.

They are both similar games. For me it boils down to who's ass I would rather stare at for 10+ hours. Lara, no contest. It won't be X1 exclusive forever.

I don´t care, I´ve been playing TR since the days of PS1, I liked UC, two more games to add to my collection.
