Do people who bash Peter Molyneux played any of his non Fable games?

Everytime I see there is something about Molyneux, I see a load of comments about he is an overrated game designer, he doesn't deserve the recognition he gets, people mock him, bash him, etc. of course I agree that he is not in a good route right now with Fable series, but people do it in a way like he is basically knows nothing about creating games. the question is have these people played any of his games like Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Popolus, Magic Carpet, The movies ( Which I think is the best Tycoon game ever by miles ) etc.

Play these games to understand what a juggernaut he is in creating games.

I remember there was a ton of PM bashing because of Black and White

he's bashed because he hypes his games up, promises tons of things that, when the game releases, he couldn't achieve. Then he say's sorry. Maybe next time, instead of saying sorry he should meet his promises. The sad thing is that this has happened more than once.

Guy hasn't made a good game in years, his best days are behind him. He is all talk and no action, he promises the world but for the most part delivers rubbish.

He's a microsoft whore now, he will make Fable until the end of his days.

Yep, I played Populous, Dungeon Keeper and finally Black and White. Black and White convinced me what an overrated hack he was. Fable just reconfirmed it.

Populous, Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper are three of my all time favorite games.

Fable 3 is not, although I love the first two games.

Last time he gave the industry anything that was'nt Fable was in 2001.

well i do love The Movies, but seriously, he is overated, and the person that overrates him teh most, is himself.

I have very fond memories of B&W.........then they where brutally raped by B&W2:cry:.

I really likeed Black and White however, I originally bought it because there of the huge pets but I never got that far, my tiger remained small.

You are right, his non-Fable games were all atleast good, some even groundbreaking. The kids who bash him have no clue of his other, older/PC games.

I have to agree here. Sadly Molyneux seems to think Fable is the best thing ever or something like that.

I loved Magic Carpet and Black and White. He has really faded in the past two generations.

I honestly think that Fable 3 was a rushed job. I was surprised that it was comming out this year, and I think that M$, rushed him, just to get it out of the door during this holiday. I haven't played it yet (Just got it:P) but basing this from the reports of bugs and glitches in the game. Have he had more time I believe F# would've een better. On the Dev himself, I only know him for Fable, and I really enjoyed Fable 2. So I am not familiar with the overhype, but wouldn't ovther devs over hype their games as well?

I loved magic carpet, but simply put he wrote checks on Black and white, and Black and white 2 his bank couldn't cover he promised so many things that weren't nearly as good as he made out or didn't make it, and he transfered that to the fable series...I loved fable 1...Fable 2 was a complete peice of **** and Fable 3 was a continuation of that....

After fable 3 I decided never to purchase another lionhead studios game, and I will never purchase any thing by Molyneux.

i just started playing too. as far as i can tell the patches have fixed most of the bugs and glitches and based off the first three hours or so it's a beautiful game, definitely a step up in that department. i've always been a fan of fable's artwork, humor and overall charm and all that's still intact. the battle system's been dumbed down a bit though, but i never thought fable's combat was anything special to begin with anyways. i always just enjoyed the quirky quests and exploring the world of albion. it's a fun little fantasy game you can just kick back and relax to.

now like i said before, i'm only around 3 or 4 hours in so that may change but so far i have to say i'm pleasantly surprised.
