Yea! I heard it from my friend yesterday!

I was going to re-buy a PSP the other day, but before i did i had a looksee on gamespot and in over two years the thing has amassed a whopping FIVE AAA titles.
FIVE. Imagine owning a system for damn-near three years and having FIVE games worth owning to show for it.
I dislike the psp thumbstick. I can only play its games in very short spurts. Otherwise, im liable to throw the thing against a wall. Eragon_11
Yeah, to this day I have to wonder WTF they were thinking with that thing. It's atrocious.... the only thing keeping me from calling it the "worst analog stick ever" is the Atari 5200. I here the one on the Slim is a little better, though I'm not going to upgrade just for that.

Since the PSP is so similar to consoles, I won't completely reject this idea for that particular console. However, in the case of the DS, the real gems of the console have been the games that didn't receive AAA scores, such as PW, TC, Picross, Meteos, etc.
Good scores do not good games make. (thank you Yoda)
the thing i dont like about psp its a portable u cant see out doorsdeadmeat59
It's also insanely fragile. For a portable system, it breaks far too easily. I had it in a rubber case in my backpack which i used to take to college every day so i could play a little madden when i had nothing to do, and it stopped working simply from being in there with a couple of books. Even in the case. I remember when i used to just drop my GBA in there, no case or anything, without a problem. It still works today. The only reason i got the case for the PSP is because i didnt want to scratch the screen, but even that wasn't enough.
The guy in the repair shop told me you cant carry it around in anything like a bag. You have to hold it or put it in your pocket, and even recommended i dont take it anywhere daily.
It's a freakin' handheld!

I realise that. If people only bought AAA games they'd miss out on masterpieces like MGS3 and Mass Effect. Still, after three years, doing a simple search of "games rated 9 and over" should yield a heck of a lot more than five results.

And yet it's frequently used in System Wars to judge all systems.

And the DS has a whopping 6 AAA Titles in more time than the PSP :| (BTW, Nintendogs has 1 AAA, not 3 since they are all the same)
So I fail to see your point...

Hardly. Isn't it quite obvious that the DS appeals to a huge demographic, just like the Wii? I'm hardly a toddler at 21, and I am more happy with my DS than I have ever been with any other console. It's a fantastic little machine.

I'd personally take Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops over any game on the Wii... but that's just me. :P

Since when are AAA's the only games worth owning?
And the DS has only has 6 AAA's, so it's a moot point either way.

And every person I have seen use that argument I say the same thing to them. It is ludacris to only buy or say only AAAE games are worth it.

Let me guess. He plays Madden... and ... Socom?

I absolutely agree. But then, SW would be a very different place without the nitpicking.
