Did You Buy Something To Play For Halloween?

So, yesterday I saw a guy disguised as the Joker from the movie The Dark Knight. I was surprised because I had never seen someone disguised as the Joker before during Halloween.

Regardless, Halloween is here. We have Steam sales. XBL and PSN have Halloween offers, too, but lolconsolesales. That one's for you hermits. You fellas owe me now.

But did you buy anything for this Halloween to play? Something scary? Or are you watching a movie instead? Beyond: Two Souls came out not too long ago.

That one's for your lemmings. That 720P BF4 news must be getting you down. Thank God, something as outdated as COD running on an engine older than last gen's consoles themselves is still going to put out Ghosts in 1080P on the X1. Although apparently it doesn't.

Well I got How to Survive and Brothers in the sale but I'm otherwise engaged this eve so won't be playing them.

I disguised myself as The Joker yesterday too :D I got The Darkness 2 on sale for 8 bucks on XBL.

To answer the other question: Yeah, Im always up For GTA. Give me about a half hour to 45 minutes.

I bought Prototype off Steam. Everything else they had that interested me are games I already own on Steam.

@Salt_The_Fries: I love me some The Darkness. You played the first one? 2nd one isn't really good on the story front, but my God, that game is a blast to play. Enjoy the executions. It's ruthless.

@bulby_g: You got How To Survive? Man, I came so close to buying that. Brothers is awesome. Very charming game.

Was hoping to buy games from the Xbox marketplace as well but the prices were meh.

I got the Typing of the Dead.

I almost bought DS4 with GTA5 yesterday but the dude at EB Games said that DS4 may not work on gta5 so i didn't buy anything. But no i didn't buy anything horror themed.

I've been playing FEAR. Gameplay is pretty meh but the atmosphere is pretty creepy. Might get back to Amnesia Dark Descent or start Dead Space 3.

Havent decided if I wanna get Brothers or Swapper from the Steam sale.

Decided to download L4D 1&2 on Steam. Forgot how much I love em.

So good. But since it's on sale, there will be so many noobs online

Will start playing Batman Origins in a few hours... but first, I have some hermit business to attend to, my GPU's acting up a little.

Both are great, and both can be had for ~$10.

I say, go for it... too bad I played them both only two weeks ago, paid full price. Should've kept this sale in mind!

Not really in a Halloween country but tomorrow is the day of the dead and it's a national holiday so that should count. I'm playing Resident Evil Revelations right now. Starting chapter 10 right now. Also bought the new Typing of the Dead.

It's a really cool game. It's a bit like L4D in a way since it's a co-op zombie shooter on the source engine. But it also has some unique twists like weapons that are only usable by one person or the fact that if you die you come back as a zombie.

I've only played the mod but I really enjoyed it. Now it's available as a free standalone download (so it doesn't require any source games anymore), which is just awesome.

Puppeteer for PlayStation 3..................very good game.

Yes, I finished The Darkness and I loved it, not as much as I did Riddick but I am a fan of Starbreeze. The game was a technical marvel, and despite 2012 sequel, I think it even looked better graphically in a lot of parts. I particularly enjoyed visits to the otherworld in WWI setting. That being sad, the sequel is so far solid and I enjoy differently branching skill trees - and yes, the executions are satisfying. BTW the story in The Darkness was definetly better, overall the game was more immersive, the story in the sequel is more or less disposable and hence you don't feel as connected or emotionally invested as you did in the first one. That being said, it's still a pretty good game, solid AA title.

It's actually a pretty fun game considering the less that Stellar reviews it received. They could have done more with the survival aspect like building your own shelters etc. but it's well worth the meagre asking price. :)

I bought Disgaea D2: A brighter Darkness for halloween & Beyond Two SOuls, both are exclusive to PS3 and came out in october. Summer was all about The Of Last of Us. September was all about puppeteer. October was all about Beyond two souls & Disgaea D2: A brighter Darkness. November will all be about Rachet and Clank.

Cows are getting an exclusive every month. Good time to be a gamer :)
