I used to be hardcore RTS fan but RTS games take too much brain power I'd rather pace myself while playing a game.
I think diablo 3 since starcraft 2 is cut up into 3 pieces.

That doesn't make the game worse, though. :|
I think Blizzard don't really care all that much about these 2 games anymore, they can't generate nearly the money the WOW generated, I bet they're focusing on the New MMO now.
1.StarCraft 2
2.StarCraft 2 with all 3 parts
3, StarCraft 2 if you count all 3 parts
4. Hard to say
5. I don't really want to play StarCraft 2, I will be playing Diablo 3, but I'm not sure if I'll play it for years to come.

You do realise that they have separate devs teams for each genre type right? The mmo team does not work with the RTS team.

:? So just because World of Warcraft is Blizzard's most successful game, these games are not important anymore?
Probably nether
I might go aboard Blizzards SC2 "lol hype train" even though I totally got F'ed over since all I want to play as is the Protos.
This is a tuff one for me. I have never played a RTS in my life, but lately I have become pretty interested in buying my first one ever. I have watched plenty of gameplay footage of Starcraft 2 on Gametrailers and it looks really freakin awesome and I can't wait until it releases so I can buy it. With that said, I own Diablo and Diablo 2 and loved Diablo 2 alot and am just as pumped for Diablo 3. I am really thinking you picked two games that I can't decide between. I will be picking both of them up. I guess if I am forced to decide, I have to go with D3, but I wouldn't be sure after making that choice if I had made the right choice or not.
I'm going with Diablo III. After Warcraft III, my faith in Blizzard's ability to make a truly spectacular RTS is somewhat diminished... Whereas they've never bungled a Diablo game.Shafftehr
Maybe you've never played Diablo II.

I've played it as recently as two weeks ago, and I still have my limited to 10,000 collector's edition box from when I got it on launch day. I also have a screenshot of my Paladin being listed as one of the top 10 paladins on the USWest server from years ago. What point are you trying to get at?[QUOTE="Deathlessness"]

That Diablo II is a relatively overrated and boring game that no one cares about.DeathlessnessA game that is roughly 10 years old that has a larger active online community than a vast majority of the games released six months ago is overrated, boring, and no-one cares about? May not be your cup of tea, but there are very few games out there that have proven to have a fraction of the longevity of interest that Diablo II has... And I doubt that's because no-one really likes it.

Diablo II? A large active online community? And Diablo II was released in 2000. So it's not 10 years old.

I said "Roughly ten years old"... It's 9 years old - so sue me. Yes, Diablo II has a large active online community. Last time I signed on there were thousands of gamers on USwest alone.[QUOTE="Deathlessness"][QUOTE="Shafftehr"] A game that is roughly 10 years old that has a larger active online community than a vast majority of the games released six months ago is overrated, boring, and no-one cares about? I said in several months. The fifth Call of Duty outsold StarCraft's lifetime sales in 6 months. Modern Warfare 2 will be more successful. So you can argue with me. Nothing wrong.

Yeah, but it doesn't have a large active online community. :)DeathlessnessOk, I just signed on. Right now on battle.net, non-peak hours, there are 31,000 Diablo II users playing 21,000 games of Diablo II out of 131,000 people on BNET playing a total of 29,000 games. Exactly what is your definition of "large active online community"???
And you know System Wars is a terrible place to talk to real gamers when people think Diablo 3 is bigger than Starcraft 2. gg people although I doubt you know what "gg" meansHoldThePhone
There's no way Diablo 3 will be bigger than Starcraft 2 unless South Korea disappears from the planet....
