I have no doubt Nintendo's relationships with third parties is their fault in most ways, but moves like this make me think that some third parties don't get any sympathy on the matter, either.

This is like a live version of Ubisoft's pricing error for Rayman Legends prior to release, where it was stated that the Wii U version was going to be the most expensive.

UPDATE: And here's their reason for justifying (read: damage controlling) the price.

We have an extensive feature set which makes full use of the Wii U GamePad, plus we were able to add exclusive features to the Wii U version which we think Nintendo fans will appreciate and truly immerse them into the world of Deus Ex like never before."

Something not even Ubisoft charged, considering the Wii U version of Rayman Legends ended up the same as the other two console versions.

Was really looking forward to grabbing this at the end of the month, but it looks like I'm getting BF4 instead. This price jump is bullsh!t.

I bought Deus Ex HR and Missing Link for literally 3 bucks during the Steam Sale. I would of paid full retail price for it had I known it was going to be that good, but this just makes me glad I switched to PC.

Can't tell. Amazon and Gamestop say October 22, where Best Buy says 29th. All platforms should have all the same dates though.

Was going to get it when it launch..now not anymore...may get it later at cheaper price now. Shame on you Square Enix!

Only reason I'm interested in this is new game plus. I was really missing that in the original.

Human Revolution was amazing, but I gonna pass on the rest of the series.

I bought this game for pennies on steam... I think i payed more for my coffee this morning.

Its £24 on Amazon in the UK. Which is a quid cheaper than the 360/PS3 versions of it.

I bet it's worth the extra $20.

Didn't like the game on PS3, won't be buying here. If I ever do get the urge to play it I have the game through PS+.

I'm sure this will help the series. Ubi shouldn't complain about poor software sales on wiiu when they pull stunts like this.

I hope it is worth the price.

Just wait and it will drop in price. I want the Wii U to succeed but things like this don't help.

Just save yourself the trouble and get the original pre-owned for way less than half that, or Steam for like $5. The game might be worth $50-60 to me, but when it gets that cheap, screw that noise. They are not allowed to dig that far into my wallet.

I've had this game twice. Bought it when it first came out on PS3 then rebought it on steam for next to nothing. To charge full price is ridiculous. Wii U owners are already reluctant to support the third party (extremely), how big are sales going to be considering?

Well, they once had hopes of it helping sell Wii U's, if that leads to anything.
