I am really looking forward to this game from Telltale. Seing how awesome Wolf Among Us was, i really want the GoT game to be good

Game writer Joshua Rubin is moving from Bungie to Telltale Games in order to work on the upcoming Game of Thrones, it was announced today.

Speaking to Gamasutra, Rubin said that while he was proud of the work he’d done with Destiny, he was looking forward to Telltale’s more story driven focus.

In the end, Bungie makes games about shooting aliens in the head. And while there’s a true art to ‘writing between the bullets’ — as Mr. Staten once said — I couldn’t turn down an offer from Telltale, to create games that are entirely about story.

@wolverine4262: Same here. I am behind on the show, and I need to start the books. Still, it seems like quite a large universe.

I think it's going to be stuff outside of the tv series

@The_Last_Ride: @lundy86_4:

Its definitely gotta be something unrelated from the books and the show. It will most likely need to be something completely original. I dont see any other way with Tell Tales style. Either that or adapting some histories mentioned throughout the series that are only vaguely explored.
I could only see it being a prequel too.

Going with Telltale, I expect you to be right. Wolf Among Us was a prequel, and TWD focused on a separate set of characters.

A prequel could be cool.

Yeah, and there are many hundreds of years of history there to work with.

I could only see it being in the same universe but creating it's own characters

@The_Last_Ride: I could see them using character mentioned in the series but not actually there. Historic figures.

@lundy86_4:
Hey, good luck. Id advise starting with the first book. Its very similar to the first season, but there are always subtle changes thatll matter.

I dont have a preference either way digital or hardcopy. The later books are pretty thick though.

@wolverine4262: I'd read it from start to finish... No other way to do it. I might have to go with the actual books, as I like come meat.

Lol. Anyway, I read actual copies too. Reread the third book on my phone though and I mostly liked it.

The books are an easy read. Short chapters.

Dude, I stared at that for a solid 2 minutes, wondering why you said "come meat" lol. I assume I meant that I like some meat to my books.

Good to hear. I've gotten out of reading, so I need some good books.

@lundy86_4: Cant go wrong with those. Im not much of a reader, but Ice and Fire was breeze for me, except the fourth book.

@wolverine4262: They could make it just like Wolf Among Us and make it a prequel with the mad king?

@The_Last_Ride: I think it would have to be further removed from the series. Telltale wouldnt be able to allow for player decisions as much otherwise.

True, but we don't really know that much about it
