Between this and the fact a remake trilogy is this year's "killer app" for your new toys, I think it is quite safe to say your card has been pulled. I guess like any other Bone, the most fun game to play is to bury it so you can dig it up again later.

Xbox One has two (exceptionally well done and high value) 'collections.' On the other hand, so far the bulk of the PS4's lineup is single game ports and remasters from other systems. It's not even on the same level, dude, let's not try to pretend that it is.

So, what people are really saying is, there just needs to be more rehashes with the rehash so you can rehash while you rehash? PS4 just wasn't rehashing ENOUGH.

To be fair this stuff didn't start until Phil Harrison talked about it. Otherwise everyone was happily content with the Halo MCC.

It's not like that. The simple fact of the matter is, the Xbox One has received plenty of quality and compelling original content of its own since its launch, after all of that, having one or two remakes is fine. How many original quality exclusives has the PS4 had so far?

Keep in mind I speak as a PS4 owner with no intention, at least currently, to buy an Xbox One.

I am just ribbing :) Bayonetta 2 is the next game on my radar. I just found it really funny that outside of the vacuum of System Wars, there is rehash begging in Lemmingville. For all that talk about how terrible the PS4 library is, seems not all is well in their camp like they put on.

And hey, we all know the rules in the real world are substantially different than they are in System Wars. In the real world, remasters like Wind Waker HD, The Last of Us, and The Master Chief Collection are appreciated, and exclusives don't hold as much weight there as they do on here. So a lot of ragging on the PS4 (a lot, but not all) applies only within the context of this (and maybe some other gaming) board(s).

Outside of SW, exclusives mean jackshit. All most people want is something to play FIFA or COD on. I'm still struggling to find a reason to why the PS4 is selling so well when you consider the level of games for it. I guess its because I play my multiplats on PC. I would imagine for people who only game on console, the PS4 is a good choice. Still doesn't make sense to me, not after I've tasted the sweet nectar that is PC gaming.

If fans are asking for the remakes...........then i dont see the issue.

Its when games are simply released with increased resolution and framerate with no one asking that should be the issue.

Halo Anniversary and MC Collection are fan service done right, not like GoW collections, Sleeping Dogs, Diablo 3, etc.

There are many petitions to bring an Uncharted collection and i understand why.

Not all re-releases are bad, especially when fans are asking for it.

Its basically the same shit as last generation sheens like you say bububbubub the 360 has remakes, and we point out that yeah it has like 3....as compared to the ps3 which has about 20.

I bought these new machines for new experiences. All I keep seeing this year is games I won't buy since I already own them. I own all the GeoW games.

I'm also tired of the cross gen developed games like Destiny, COD, AC, etc. I understand new fans buy this, but I'm just seeing port after port and cross gen games that don't take full advantage of my new EXPENSIVE hardware.

Console kids begging in yet another petition, maybe you guys will one day have as many as quality games as PC and go past 24 average fps on low settings.

Probably only a matter of time before the entire Gears and Halo collections are playable on the One. I'm sure it'll happen by the time Microsoft is ready to discontinue the 360.

I actually don't mind collections if they're done well. If they remade Gears of War 1-3 like they did with Halo, with updated visuals, 1080p, 60 FPS and dedicated servers I'd play it. It's simple remasters like GTAV, Sleeping Dogs and TLOU which basically give you the same game with a bump up to 60fps and 1080p for $60 that really irk me.

Some people don't like Playing Console style controller games on their pc or don't have one. Speaking for myself, I personally don't play any multiplat on PC and stick to PC Centric games... in genres that are made for PC... For example you will never find me playing Batman or Dark Souls on PC... they require a controller to play well and I hate the xbox controller that I have to use to get the best pc compatibility. So games like that go straight to PS4. A system whcih i have over 30 games for, you see I count psn games as games....

Now for pc I am enjoying an over abundance of good "PC-Style" games... Wasteland 2 , Starpoint Gemini 2 (which I am sure only a few people here ever heard of), Legend of Grimlock 2, Endless Legend, and will be buying Civ: Beyond Earth. None of these games could or would be made on console.

The reason they want these remakes is because they were great games.

Its important to note that it isnt the single player from gears or Halo that the fans want remakes of. They want the multiplayer. Both halo and Gears had great competitive multiplier. I put probably over a 1000 hours into both the halo and gears franchises multiplayer.

What amazing multiplayer was on Ps2 or Ps3?? I mean did PS3 really have no good multiplayer games?? If so wouldn't they want them? Would anyone want a killzone remake? No because Halo craps all over that games multiplayer. Uncharted??? naaaw gears craps all over that games multiplayer ( though uncharted had a better single player.) No one wants a remake for the single player, we already knows what happens. Good multiplayer keeps you playing.

It's truly depressing how Infamous sold as much as it did. Fanboywars aside, that game was terrible (so was Titanfall by the way). Anyway, I don't want a Gears of War collection as it isn't necessary. The MCC is the best remake (if you can even call it that) so far as it adds a lot of new content to the games and also lets you play Halo 1 online for the first time on consoles + Halo 2 is now back better than ever. They also added theater, forge and the ranking system to all the games so it's much more than a simple remake. And finally they fixed the servers for Halo 3 which was the only reason it wasn't a perfect game

As much has remasters suck, the MCC is extremely great value. A GeOW cllection would probably be too.

On the other hand, cows just prefer to pay full price for 1 single game, but with a 1080p 60fps boost.
