Good graphics is something we may see in a Souls game in 2023 the earliest (when Japan discovers there was an engine release in 2006 called UE3). That doesn't change the fact that i'll be playing each and single of em for hundreds of hours each.

BloodBorne is pretty well cemented as a Sony exclusive seeing how they have a hand in it's development.

I want it in UE3 as much as i want it on Source or iD Tech 5. I don't want, its just the time it'll take for FROMSOFT to discover other engines. Dark Souls 3 in Cryengine 3 or UE4 would look f*cking amazing but noooooooooo, these devs never heard of those.

@foxhound_fox: Sony doesn't own the SF IP. They do own Bloodbourne. Same reason Demon Souls never came to PC.

@AM-Gamer: Sony can put their IP on any platform they want. The reason Demon's Souls didn't come to PC was because From is a terribly inexperienced PC developer and only created the PC version of Dark to appease the community. Sony has a fair number of PC games under their belt, and if they are funding SFV, they could easily going Bloodborne to PC.

@foxhound_fox: They can put Bloodbourne on any platform they want hence the reason it will NEVER come to PC. The only titles that come to the PC are from SOE that appeal to the PC audience. Hence why no PS exclusives ever come to PC and never will.

I'm sure whatever that picture is would look better if it weren't scanned out of a magazine, I mean hell you can totally make out the texture of the print medium. Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's a shot of a monitor which I imagine would look just as bad. I don't know why I'm even defending a Souls game, it's not even my thing and I'll probably not dabble in another for years. But looking at NPCs close up isn't something I experienced in previous games, and I don't play my games zooming up for pixel counting. It's not going to matter much when the camera is a wide behind the back third person shot.

UE3 would be a downgrade, not an upgrade.

That's not the point. Discovering an old popular engine this late just shows how far behind Japanese devs are tech wise. I don't know about Bloodborne but Dark Souls 1 and 2 would've looked much better in UE3. UE3 may be an outdated engine but its not as shitty as iD Tech 5 nor is FROMSOFT using anything worth a damn in their Souls series.

Bloodborn looks great so I'm impressed with what they showed. DS however hasn't looked good since DS2 was downgraded. Hopefully it looks like the original footage before the downgrade When it's released on the new consoles.

Console Darksouls 2 likely not even 60fps. While pc version use DSFIX + ENB volumetric lighting + Lighting Shafts + Super Sampling + HBAO + SSAO + bloom + AFX16 + upscaling + magic.

Darksouls 2 xblockone+PS4 just had the resolution upped: very lazy.

Bloodborne doesn't look as good either

You really have lost it. Bloodborne is quite a step up from DS 2 with Gedosato visually.
