DA:I has game breaking bugs everywhere, it's a mess

There's a major corrupt save bug that cost me 10 hours, that makes you lose all your saves and makes the game freeze at the main menu unless they are all deleted. Now I can't get past the first boss because after I beat him the game claims it's still installing but it's already fully installed. Another crap fest bug fest game. The 8th gen is all about rehashes and broken launch games. It's all over the websites technical support page but still no offical word from bioware. PC or console version? I'm thinking on getting it on pc (well not right now with all the technical issues).

No problems with the SP campaign on PS4 so far, but the online is laggy and buggy as all hell right now.

PC has Direct X crashes on cutscenes. Mike Ladlaw says they are looking into this.

I could've gotten this but I opted for FC4 instead. Now after playing FC4 I really don't know if it was a good idea.

2014: The year of broken & glitchy games, HD ports, and cross gen titles.

And yet, a studio with reputation of delivering buggy content - Creative Assembly - did a cross-gen Alien Isolation on whooping 5 platforms and it shits on all other titles when it came to quality assurance (yes, it had its bugs too, but the day 1 patch ousted out everything).

How ironic is that?

I've has some minor glitches here and there, but definitely nothing game breaking with Dragon Age on PC. Just because one person experiences a save game bug doesn't mean it's a wide spread problem. Game has been out for a couple days now and there are no major bug reports like there was with Unity and the MCC.

Half an hour in and my audio wigged out. Background music remained but sound effects decided to mute. Turned it off in disgust. This gen is a fucking scam.

I have had some but nothing close to calling it game breaking.

So, much like every other goddamn AAA title in the last year, you'll have to wait a month before it's actually ready to play.

To be fair, Alien Isolation had problems with awful stuttering in pre-rendered cutscenes on consoles that had to be patched. Though considering that was its only problem CA are flying high.

As long as MGS5 isn't borked, I don't care about next year. KojiPro are usually good with releasing games that work though.

@Salt_The_Fries: sunset overdrive seems to be bug free. Haven't really encountered any and the game runs smooth too.

Having major pop ins, hair and beards look hilarious if you don't mind sacrifice some FPS by putting Mesh Quality in High or Ultra, some NPC's appearing/re-appearing, etc.

And to top it off, I had to download Nvidia's latest driver update because the game kept crashing to my desktop.

Its a shitty mess, but again, the game is damn amazing. People need to chill and give Bioware time to release patches.

This year is such a disappointment. games should not be releasing with game breaking bugs like this. I was looking at getting this but now will hold off till they fix the bugs.

SP on PC is working perfectly fine for me. Having a blast after some arduous keybind customisations. My hardware does destroy the game by a good margin, so that may be why I'm running into none of the technical issues. That said, with those technical issues absent I can confidently say that this is one of the best games I've played this year. With some optimisation patches, people on weaker hardware should be able to enjoy the same experience i'm enjoying.

The MP on the other hand is regretfully unplayable due to bugs and instability that appears to be the result of subpar networking.

Yeah, widespread bug report is nowhere to be seen. Usually even on the official forums it's just one or two person running into what appears to be rare and highly coincidental bugs that others haven't even heard of. Also some of the "bug" reports are simply people misunderstanding game mechanics working as intended (i.e. Guard). The exception of course appears to be the multiplayer, which by all accounts appear to be broken on all platforms.

I suppose that's somewhat acceptable, since nobody is crazy enough to buy DAI just to jump right into MP while skipping the glorious SP. The SP will keep me occupied for weeks, potentially. By then the MP should be fixed.

It plays perfectly smooth when at 1080p@60fps on 2500k 4.4ghz/8gb/ and a single gtx 970... Its when i try to sli so i can play at 4k when i get stuttering and texture flickering at no matter what settings i use even on the lowest... So yea sli aint working with this either

played 6-8h of co-op yesterday, the only issue i've seen is their garbage servers that rubberband and had a hard time connecting to other players

Yesterday the Origin servers logged me out when I was playing single player and prompt me exit to the main menu to log in again.

It was odd as hell, lol.

Doesn't help their case that the SP is a big glitchfest too.

This game is shit optimized for AMD hardware. I'm on FX8350/R9 290 and I still get dips on a mix of high/ultra settings with PPAA set to low and MSAA turned off. Can't say I'm too happy but at least the game is decent. As far as glitches are concerned I don't think I've played enough to notice them.

Mine has been outstanding on PC... not one bug yet, so far as I know. Looks great too on my 780.

Really sorry to hear you are having troubles. I heard there was an issue with the DRM and SSDs, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, FC4 has a sever lack of personality and direction, imo. The mechanics are just an expansion on FC3 and yet I would stay say FC3 is a better game.

The gen of bugs and glitches? Not on Wii U.

I am running it on my high end PC and I literally didn't notice any bugs or pop-ins or any other stuff. The game didn't crush on me even once. And it runs butter smooth at 1440p, fully maxed and constant 60 fps.

My PC settings are

I7 5820k 6 cores

16 GB DDR4

and overclocked GTX780/

I loved Far Cry 3. I've just started playing FC4 on Xbone and my beef is with the graphics which prevent me from immersing myself in the world. Other than that, I've played to little to tell. It's just that I could've gotten Dragon Age, something that is not a FPS, for once, but knowing that it's gonna be on EA Access in a year for 5 bucks, I opted not to get it now. On the other hand, I haven't played an FPS single player this generation (can you even call BF4 a game that has single player? what a POS), I've said FPS because I have Titanfall and I love it but it's MP only.
