If you have a Target near you, I'd recommend going there. No one thinks about Target and they open early. When I got mine, I strolled into Target around 9:00 am and they still had 4 left after an hour of open time. I passed Circuit City and Best Buy on the way and each had lines an hour before the stores opened. This was a couple weeks ago though, so they may be easier to come by at the electronics stores now.
Bah it's totaly impossible to find any consoles here in Sweden. Some people that pre-ordered it in November haven't got it yet. I ordered it myself about 20 days ago... i'm still waiting.
Do u live anywhere near agincourt? There's a mall called agincourt mall and theres a walmart there. They ususally put the new stuff out on Friday but make sure u get there before all the skool kids come. so im saying get there b4 3pm and u MIGHT see a Wii. I saw a Ps3 and some 360's there last time it was Friday but didnt see any Wii's(but i have one). but theres no harm in checking.
I got one and I wasn't even trying to find one......I decided to go to the Nintendo store in the morning and there was hardly anyone in line at the time (8:30am) I figured what the hell, I probably won't get this opportunity for a long time, I got in line and bought one...It was a week after the launch..It looks like I was right....
You couldn't get a 360 till march, so I don't see a big deal.Chubnasty
The big deal is that Nintendo has shipped as much as MS did the 360 from launch to march, in 06. People were not still lining up for 360 in January, let alone February onwords. This is a completely different situation, which may continue past march/april if this trend continues. Both underproduction and overdemand.
Wait till March. Right now Nintendo is holding back because they want to flood the market in March, after they build up lots of demand. MS flooded the market in November, and Sony flooded it in January. Nintendo is the only one who hasn't flooded the market yet, because they want to do it when the demand is at its peak. March is when the shopping season really starts up again.
Patience is all we can have... I myself am willing to pay money to Nintendo, yet they still do not bring me a Wii. I really think there should be waiting lists in stores, and you get a call when the next shipment comes in and your Wii will be waiting for you when you get there. People are still lining up like it is launch day... it has already pissed me off and is getting worse every week. I really wish I could just order one straight from Nintendo, and get this all over with already.
