Really because I dont care who you there are very few good reasons not to own a PS2 (and "I hate sony" isnt one of them because i think sony sucks and i still have one)

i think pretty much everyone owns a ps2 by now. it's a great system. But I think you can still hate sony and love ps2. I kind of dislike sony right now... although I think I'm contradicting myself when I say that since my entire dolby digital surround sound system and speakers are sony (except for my JBL sub).

Nah the launch games didn't interest me

But the GCs did, so I got GC :) Never felt like getting a PS2 after that cause GC kep me happy, and when GC didn't I played GBA

PS games were always too Japanese for me. I went straight from N64 to the Xbox/360 (playing with my Wii is cool too) and have never looked back. Oh, and I love a good PC game now and then. :)

i personally think that the ps2 is the best console ever. Just too many great games. And yes, i owned a ps2, and also a x360.

I had two but One broke the first Week I had it it was under Warranty it wasn't my fault it didn't work it was the place I got it froms fault because my Mom had it on Lay away and those people that work there just throw them on the Conveor belt I see it all the time, I exchanged it for another one, it worked great but know after 4 years I mainly use it for movies now because I use my GCN and other consoles to play games.

I bought my ps2 fatty from a guy at work about 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. I only get PS2 exclusives for it and I get multiplats for my other consoles (online multiplats for xbox and non-online multiplats for gamecube).

I've got one and I'm playing it more than my 360 and PC at the mo. Anyone who said no missed out on one the best consoles ever. I predict that at the end of its lifespan(not going to be soon)it will go down as the greatest console ever.
