CoD haters can go off about how bad its gonna be, I'll just wait and see.
At the end of the day, CoD brings the tightest console fps controls, a solid 60 fps, and a great suite of multiplayer modes. If this one is fresh enough, I'll pick it up. Black Ops and CoD4 were the last two I enjoyed.
The only CoD to impress me story-wise is Black Ops. Otherwise, I found them to be either meh, or shit. I probably won't get this one.
shadowfall was one of the most boring single players I had played through in a long time, so saying cod looks better isn't saying much.
LOL, nope. CoD has never been a "solid 60fps". It's actually "60-ish" (or in the case of Wii U 40-ish).
Pretty good chance that's prerendered though.
It's easy to tell what's prerendered and what's not in this trailer. Hell you could even make the distinction just by seeing some aliasing in the gameplay parts.
Nice CGI (because they have a huge fucking budget) but the actual gameplay's graphics just look like an uprezzed last gen CoD with a more interesting art direction (because it's sci fi and not straight up current military).
a good fps story?
Halo says hi. One of the best stories in gaming period. But i agree halo is more of an exception then the norm.

Graphics look a lot better than CoD Ghosts during gameplay.

I don't know what kind of upgrades they did to the engine, but it really just looks like a CoD game. The detail is always there, but particles look flat, geometry is simplistic, unrealistic lighting.
The main, visual difference, at least for me, seems to be the simple fact that it's really sci fi now and there is a little more creative freedom.
some parts of the trailer look better than another? must be CG
or yknow some parts of the game just look better than others. I just find it hard to believe they would start using cg now
Story? looks utterly generic. besides it looks like COD.
How surprising
Real FPS are like Doom, shadow warrior, Blood, unreal..
military FPS are by far worse of genre.

Fascinating. Thank you for enlightening us with your opinion.
Wow, this makes Infinity Ward look like amateurs (which they are now)
Pretty good chance that's prerendered though.
That said, the E3 2014 footage of the game had some very impressive graphics. Better than BF4 and Killzone I would say.
Wouldn't go that far, but compared to Ghost, it looks a gen ahead

But Doom,Blood and Unreal have nothing "real" to them
@strangeisland: You should check out both of the Darkness games. They both tell really good stories. Although the first one isn't a pure FPS, more of an adventure game where the combat is shooting. But still.
Are you aware t's made by Dead Space developers?
It's not. You're mixing it up wih BF: Hardline

No, I'm not, Sledgehammer Games was formed by two former Visceral Games employees, its vice-president Glen Schofield and CEO Michael Condrey. Schofield created and directed Dead Space whereas Condrey was a senior development director. I'm not sure how many other Visceral Games employees went to join Sledgehammer Games but I assume quite a few.

Interesting. Didn;t know that.
What's funny is that these days both Sledgehammer and Treyarch seems to be doing genuinelly interesting things with COD IP, while Infinity Ward is stuck in endless repeats of first Modern Warfare
No it doesn't. Once you play this COD turd you will see how it really looks. I can't believe people still fall for no gameplay trailers.... xD
Wait a minute... at 2:46 you can see real gameplay. LOL it looks like any other COD.
a good fps story?
Deus Ex .? Half Life 2 .? Halo .? No One Liver Forever .? 007 Nightfire .?
@geniobastardo: it's a very deadly, highly contagious virus that's presently a threat to humanity. In a few months, it's killed over half a hundred people due to its 90% mortality rate, it's also quickly spread within border countries super fast, this is the stuff of nightmares and there is no cure, vaccine or whatever
