CD Projekt the most over-rated developer around?

People greatly exaggerate, problems with mouse and keyboard controls in Witcher 2. I didn't even notice there was a problem until I saw people complaining about it on internet. My friend recently got into gaming and 2nd game that he played was Witcher 2.

Keep in mind that he never played games before and he played it on a shitty PC with terrible frame rates. It took him weeks to finish the game and I asked him to lower down the difficulty if he's having problems but if refused to do so and said that he's enjoying the challenge that the game is offering him.

He finished the game multiple times with those below terrible below 24 frame rates. He played it on mouse and keyboard. If if can then why can't others who claim that they've been gaming for decades?

The problem is, gamers these days complain more and play less. Not to mention PC gaming has never been fully tied to just mouse and keyboard. Try playing Space sims from 90s with just a keyboard instead of using a joystick.

That would be my pick, especially after how Destiny turned out.

While true, Witcher 2 is not a space or flight sim, and is the direct sequel to a game made fully for M+K. Compared to the first, Witcher 2's was obviously made for controllers foremost what with the scrolling menus screens and list inventory. They launched with very few filters too, as I recall. You seem to be under the impression I'm saying a consolized inventory is unusable, instead of one that is made more cumbersome for M+K in pursuit of controllers. Besides, CD Projeckt thankfully must have recognized some of the problems, since they're going back to grid for wild hunt.

My friends the video game publisher "CD Projeckt" actively boasted and attempted to give the impression the Wticher series was a CRPG derived from classic pc gaming. These people have fabricated a narrative through hyperbole. They are paper champions.

Real pc games should be able to see right through this charde; instead (as a real pc gamer) I simply see a landscape full of chocolate gangsters talking the talk without having actually owned a gun.

I'm glad that they're going back to grid based inventory because people asked for it. But I would not have complained if it was still list based inventory. I played both games on Mouse and keyboard and never found it worse than first game. In fact I didn't even care about it.

1. They said that was a mistake on their part. They are doing things right moving forward.

2. So? Metacritic control what you enjoy? lol

3. You never played Witcher.

4. I believe they are adjusting the pricing in some regions.

5. They said they love Skyrim and it inspired them to open the world of the Witcher. It is just honest criticism. Skyrim doesn't have an intriguing story and there are way too many repetitive fetch quests.

I agree its a bit pricey for launch, I paid £25 for the collectors edition of the second one and recieved it 2 days prior to launch; other than that however I completely disagree: the witcher is one of my favourite series and I am greatly looking forward to the third installment -- I think the complaints come from the same place as yahtzee from Zero Punctuation and the game just has too much to manage for some (but many of us love the depth).

It's Bungie but The Witcher guys are certainly up there. Snoreworthy games.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't find scrolling down long lists of icon-less text to find a particular item to be a good way to manage an inventory, especially in a game series with a lot of loot like this one.

I don't especially like CD Projekt, nor do I dislike them. I really haven't played their games enough to judge them or to defend them.

Yeah, Gamefaqs sucks. Sometimes I think SW is full of idiots and trolls, but then you head over to Gamefaqs and you gain a new appreciation for this place lol.

I only ask because I thought I saw your username there recently. I don't visit the site too often, but I do lurk the MGSV boards for news and updates every once in a while.

1. Still DRM free

2. Both Games are classics. 10/10 Story, 10/10 characters, 7/10 gameplay (for 1, 2 is atleast an 8)

3. 2007 could be old school, depending on your perspective.

B.) Buy it when it's on steam sale.

5. Elder Scrolls as a series is in my top 5, still has a bunch of issues that should be brought to light, Good work CDPR
