CD Projekt RED: The best version of Witcher 3 will be on PC

I'm not sure any of the PS4 or Xbox One fans could have ever argued about this anyway, but here is confirmation just in case you were wondering. If you want to play the Witcher 3 the way CD Projekt intends, you'll need to do it on PC.

Can't wait to hear the arguments on this one. At least you guys will be able to enjoy it in 900p (Xbox) and 1080p (PS4) at 30 FPS at medium to low settings, though.

30 FPS at low to medium settings is not fine. It's a compromise to get the game to run on inferior hardware.

They intend to make money, that's the reason its on consoles. And The Witcher 3 will be great on any platform.

In my case finances has nothing to do with it. I don't care for most PC exclusives and grew up on consoles. Anything consoles get that's also on PC is just a plus for me.

I have a laptop for playing older PC games and indie titles, but have no desire to buy/build a gaming desktop to play multies on high settings.

I thought this would have been a given. The PS4 version will play just fine though, no worries on that end.

Agreed. I'm sure they stand behind the work they're doing on consoles, and are proud of the products they're making for it.

So if we get a bad port, or a buggy rushed version, or an unoptimised piece of crap we can plaster that on their forums. I find it funny they don't want to mention the differences between the consoles though, they have been defending the Xbox One quite a lot for some reason.

They showed the X1 version at E3 and it looked great,of course it ain't as good as the pc version but it still looks amazing.

If you have a bone to pick with CD Project, I don't understand your standards... they are one of the most generous, consumer friendly devs ever. Anybody that has to ask which console version will be better lives under a rock, and you shouldn't expect all devs and publishers to risk damaging their business relationships with one hardware manufacturer in favor of a rival hardware manufacturer for the sake of educating every uninformed soul on twitter. Kojima did it, but he's got deep roots with Sony. CD Project's roots are PC, and they responded in turn.

I been watching all fans, MS fanboys are always gonna have wars against Sony fanboys that's how it is, but it used to be some decent logical PC fans in here over the years, and there becoming worse than the other fanboys, used to be the voice of reason because you see it for what it is, and now PC fans are shouting about this is better on PC how that's better on PC, who are these??? come on we all know deep down no matter if your a deep fanboy or not PC is what you make it, some people have enough money to build PC worthy of calling themselves the master race, the others don't

Funny how a lot of PC fanboys post as if all setups are the same and like they all have titans or above. Cut the shit a lot of PC games WILL play at settings just like you describe here also you don't know what the PS4 will have for setting right now but what ever setting they will be, it will be the same across the board and nothing below.

Again, what GPU do you have for your PC and what type and amount of ram do you have?

the compromises were already made when the game's design was made around consoles. Higher frame-rate, textures and resolution will not change the fundamentals of a game.

BTW, I find funny how CD dodged that question. It seems MS has them grabbed by the balls with the parity clause.

Wow never heard that. I was referring to their DRM-free philosophy. Guess the letters are an unfortunate byproduct of the lack or software DRM.
